Once the reading challenge starts, you can come over here and share the first book you're reading! Maybe you'll find someone else reading the exact same one?

Have you finished a book? Tell us as well! Maybe even add some of your thoughts about the book. Did you enjoy it? Or didn't you?

What's going to be your next read?

Every small progress you make, you can share here! Even if you just want to talk about a huge event that just occurred and you need to shout about it for a bit.

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments I'm currently reading Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker. It started off pretty slow but I'm about 120 pages in now and I'm finally invested in the story and want to know where its going to go. I have K.A. Tucker's Simple Wild on my shelf because so many of my book friends have read and loved it. I just hope that one has a quicker start than this one does so far.

Vicki Willis Got one done.
Beneath the Attic by V.C. Andrews
Anyone my age probably grew up reading the Dollanger series. This was supposedly a prequel to that, but it was not. The story was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking to relive or get insight into Flowers in the Attic (Dollanganger, #1) by V.C. Andrews .

Sophie Yesterday was a good day, I ended up finishing 2 arcs! The Kingdom and No Judgments. I'm waiting to list the first one as read and my review until my friend finishes but I did post a review to the second one here.

Misty's Book Space (mistysbookspace) | 1 comments I just finished my first book from my list. This book was sent to me for review and it's the second book in the series. I also have books 3 & 4 to get to this month as well. Anyways here's the book I finished.

Beauty's Quest (Once Upon a Princess, #2) by C.S. Johnson

message 7: by Dana (new)

Dana Cristiana (silvermoon1923) I have already finished 5 books this month, one of them being for this challenge.

It's an ARC from NetGalley called Ollie Oxley and the Ghost The Search for Lost Gold by Lisa Schmid . I gave it 3 stars.

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments So far I've finished Say You Still Love Me and I've started The Grand Dark which I'm super late finishing. After that I think i'll start Crown of Coral and Pearl which I totally forgot about until this week and I think it releases on 8/27 so I really need to get to it!

message 9: by Summer (new)

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments I finished The Grand Dark by Richard Kadrey tonight. I was way overdue on this ARC so I'm glad I was finally able to finish and review it. I gave it 4 stars. It was one hell of a ride, that's for sure! Next up is Crown of Coral and Pearl and Gideon the Ninth.

message 10: by Vicki Willis (new)

Vicki Willis Well, I added an ARC to the shelf, but read it so it is off!
Orcas Everywhere The Mystery and History of Killer Whales by Mark Leiren-Young Orcas Everywhere: The Mystery and History of Killer Whales

Sad, very sad. my review

Christopher (skitch41) | 13 comments I finished The Death and Life of the Great American School System How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education by Diane Ravitch The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education by Diane Ravitch two days ago. You can read my review here. But, I took a break from my TBR to read The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson as a part of Bookriot's Read Harder Challenge. I devoured this book in two days and I would recommend it to everyone interested in nature and true crime. You can read my review here.

Christopher (skitch41) | 13 comments Over the weekend, I finished reading At Canaan's Edge America in the King Years 1965-68 by Taylor Branch At Canaan's Edge: America in the King Years 1965-68 by Taylor Branch, thus completing his three-volume history of the Civil Rights movement. An excellent series, but not for the casual reader. You can read my review here.

At the same time, though it wasn't on my TBR, I also completed reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce, #1) by Alan Bradley The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley as a part of BookRiot's Read Harder Challenge. You can read my review here.

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments Im starting my third ARC of the month today; Gideon the Ninth. I'm so, so ready for this book!

message 14: by Tari (new)

Tari (thann) | 86 comments Updating msg. 20 in the posting thread. I got all 7 of the ARCs finished that I had listed. This was a great incentive!

message 15: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 146 comments I've managed all but three of the books on my list- though one I'm currently reading- but I'm really happy with that. I was also taking part in the NEWT's readathon this month, so I did pretty well for this month! Looking forward to September's reading too. :)

Fafa's Book Corner (fafasbookcorner) For this challenge I got through 4 books in total. One DNF and three that I finished.

I didn’t get around to any of the arcs just because I wasn’t in the right mindset for one of them. And the other one I was approved towards the end of August.

message 18: by Dana (new)

Dana Cristiana (silvermoon1923) So this month I've read 14 books, but only 2 were ARCs:
Ollie Oxley and the Ghost The Search for Lost Gold by Lisa Schmid and Paradise Girl by Phill Featherstone .
