I have written a book that's available for pre-order on Kindle and soon to be released as a paperback. Very few people have read it so far and I would like to extend the reach of potential readers. Even if you read just a chapter or so, for me to have some feedback outside of the people I know who have read it already, I would be eternally grateful! :)
It's a dystopian, set just over fifty years in the future in Britain. Told between four perspectives, it has a mix between a more primitive-style survival, and a futuristic-y thing. Here's the description:
"Surviving in a corrupt world fifteen years after the earthquake that destroyed the country, sixteen-year-old Arys lives in one of the tribes, always changing location due to the Hunters. Nobody knows where they came from or why they hunt the survivors, keeping everyone in the tribes in constant fear.
When Arys discovers that her twin sister, thought to be dead, also survived the destruction and is living amongst other survivors in a safe haven known as the Compound, Arys leaves her tribe to find her. Heading towards the Compound, Arys journeys with her best friend, Kai, not knowing how much her life will be thrown into a plot she knows nothing about."
As her brother, I do hold a very biased opinion, but I have to say that it is incredibly fantastic, to the point of the majority of other readers thinking that she had copied it word-for-word from another book!
The description is really interesting and it definitely sounds like something I would read. I don't own a Kindle so I'll try and check out the PDF. Best of luck with it and congratulations on getting it published :D
Thank you, Fem!! Should be available on Amazon by Wednesday - Friday :) Wrote the first chapter in February, and then the first draft of 75,000 words was completed in April. Since then, an extra 15,000+ words were added for the final published edition published this week :)
Wow! You wrote it incredibly fast! I guess masterpieces or take a really long time or are created in an incredibly short time. I've been working on my book for more than a year now ^-^ (i'm so excited to read your book)
You can be notified when the paperback becomes available! (Different cover due to the Kindle cover's dimensions being too small and we couldn't update it!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Divided-1-Ms-...
Well to me every book is a masterpiece. I just think it's amazing how a person can take letters and words and make them into a story with characters and relationships and okay I just admire writers. So far I've been pretty afraid to let anyone read my story but it'd be great to have an opinion :)
