ExpectationsI want to read this book mostly for the reason, because it is a fairytale retelling. I love retllings and they never disappointed me. I cannot wait to start this gem :)

So I read Sunday’s read on Friday because I knew I wasn’t going to have time Sunday. Let me start by saying I am eager to read today’s section. Thank you for suggesting this read. I’m totally digging it. I didn’t want to put it down but knew I needed to pace myself.

I have to say I am totally in love with Rhen. I do not know, but I love the arrogant, but actually caring prince type of human being. Actually, I like all characters except Harper. I do not know how to feel about her. She seems to be so inconsistent, when you get what I mean.

She is very stubborn and refuses to let a disability define her which is something I can greatly relate to. I could just do with a little less wishy-washy reactions. I get they primarily stem from her need to prove herself and how she is more than a disability but even she needs to a break from the charade. I love Rhen’s ability to keep control of his emotions yet allow just enough when necessary to show his compassions verse his “princely duties.” Grays character never waivers. He hold true to his loyalty despite how much it may pain him to do so.

I cannot relate to Harper too much, because I am not disabled. I get that she needs to prove herself especially in the beginning, but as time passes I consider her "I always need to prove myself" and stubborness as a little annyoing. She always says "oh. I will never fall in love with you" and tbh it makes me cringe.
As I said. Rhen has all my heart. I love him so much and I will probably continue the series even though I do not ship Harper and Rhen AT ALL. I have no desire to see them as a couple.
Grey is a really great character, but I hope we get more background story for him, because he barely had time to shine yet.
