When Books Become Movies... discussion

This one of my most anticipated movie adaptations by far (although we have to wait for Christmas 2016, which is crushing news). If you haven't, I urge you to read it. Patrick Ness is a master of storytelling in my opinion and this book is no exception.

Latest News: filming for A Monster Calls has started! There will be about 6 months of filming, and then a bit over a year for special effects. Patrick Ness HIMSELF has written the screenplay and it's directed by J.A. Bayona, director of The Impossible.

Finally, the casting is extra exciting. None other than Liam Neeson is playing the monster (what more could we ask for?), Felicity Jones is playing the mum and Sigourney Weaver the grandmother. I have very high expectations of this one, a feeling it's going to be great with a cast and crew like that.
