He starts his own podcast as he tracks Sadie's journey, trying to figure out what happened, hoping to find her before it's too late.

Courtney Summers has written the breakout book of her career. Sadie is propulsive and harrowing and will keep you riveted until the last page.

26% (view spoiler)[I'm not sure how I feel about it so far, I'm listening to the audiobook because everyone was raving so much about it, but I find it so hard to keep track/remember the characters and etc. At the moment Im just kinda confused ? I might reread the first 25% just to get a grasp on it all I think. The narrators are great though (hide spoiler)]

20% (view spoiler)[ the first couple chapters were a little bit to get into, but now I think I am in a groove. I feel so bad for Sadie, her mother was a addict who didnt care about her and then loses the sister she loved like her own daughter :( (hide spoiler)]

4% Just started this one and I'm already intrigued by the delivery of the book (I feel like I can actually hear the delivery of the Podcast). Hoping to get time to actually dive into it after work!

Claire coming home is great but I was sad to know that she was no in LA and was only 3hrs away the whole time. Sadie was more a mother than she was. (hide spoiler)]

100% (view spoiler)[That was a really powerful ending, knowing he died, that it's known he was guilty and such. I'm conflicted by the ending as in, not knowing what happened in the end to Sadie. On the other hand I really want to know if the author had a specific idea or anything of that sorts about it, but on the other hand I'm happy the ending is left open like this, not knowing it. 46% we are knee-deep in the plot now! Sadie’s character has a mature note to it that is both believable and tragic. There was a moment of suspense that definitely threw me. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

84% This is my favorite part of a good book. When the first half of the book starts coming together and it’s ramping up to the resolution but they pump the brakes and make you think it out.

I kind of like how the book goes back and forth between Sadie's POV and the podcast where people who knew Sadie and Mattie get interviewed. It gives more background to the story. I also think it's more original than how many stories use flashbacks to give information about the past. (hide spoiler)]

Summers does a really good job of expressing Sadie's emotions in her writing. I honestly can feel how sad and lonely Sadie is without her having to continually describe it in the book. I just got to the part where Sadie has picked up Cat. I really hope Cat doesn't blindside Sadie or anything. Like she doesn't steal or take advantage of her. (hide spoiler)]

The book is starting to make more sense and I am understanding now where Sadie's motives are coming from. I can't believe what a monster Keith/Darren was/is. I don't know whether to root for Sadie or not because she wants to kill him, which is wrong and could seriously mess up her life, but I also hope Keith gets what he deserves. At least Sadie had a helping hand in getting Silas arrested. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't have any expectations going into this book, but I actually thought it was well-written. I enjoyed the Podcast aspect of the story because it was a good way to bring in more detail and background information. I didn't expect a YA book to touch on so many mature subjects, but this one covered quite a few. Anyway, that ending! I want to know what happened to Sadie, but that almost makes the book better not knowing. It makes it more realistic because you don't always get answers in the real world.
