The book Cirque Du Freak is about a kid named Darren Shan, who finds out about a circus of freaks with his friends. Him and his best friend Steve, ended up getting their hands on tickets to the show. They see a bearded lady, a werewolf, a flexible man and more! But when it comes to Mr. Crepsley and his talented spider, things get weird. While Darren, who has been fascinated with spiders since he was a kid, is amazed by the talented spider, Steve seems to be focused on one thing and one thing only. Mr. Crepsley. Darren tries to get Steve to say why he’s so fascinated with the weird man. But all Steve can say, is that if Mr. Crepsley finds out about the information Steve knows about him, they may not be able to leave the show alive! Overall this book is very captivating and once you start, you can’t stop. The plot is very interesting and keeps you on your toes, wanting more.
