Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments First let me start off by saying hey. I’m on the last two days of a summer getaway with my husband. But no fears, I’ll be checking in regularly.

message 8: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Caroline, no. I’m actually at radio ally published children’s author as well. So anything I want to write, I can find somewhere to fit it in.

message 9: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Hello Latifa, how are you beautiful? I would want to be with Leo. No to Stella since I’m basically Stella. But Leo is a Harley mechanic who falls for a rocket scientist. I ride my own Harley and am married to a rocket scientist.

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments MiDourado, the one I love the best is Ringo, he is a drag queen. He is actually described as one of my real best friends. Same personality and all. Character I hate most, there are many. Mainly I have issues with catty women. Once in a blue moon I will have a catty side character but generally I try to make the women you think are going to be catty, secretly supportive.

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Antonella, so funny you ask this. We were talking in another group about how I use quotes in my books, I find such power in them. I could be poignant and give you Dickinson, Hepburn, or even Austen. But truthfully my very favorite is: Well behaved women seldom make history.

message 12: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Ines, I would add more side characters that you hear about but don’t know. This way I can always go back and write their story and stay in the same world.

message 13: by J. (new)

J. (leaj) | 275 comments If you could be any book character for a day, who would you choose and why?

message 14: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments J, I’d say Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables. I love her precocious behavior.

message 15: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (nrmc18) Who is your favorite H of all the ones your written?

message 16: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Natalie, Stella was the easiest since I’m basically Stella. But I bled when I wrote Sophie. She and I have some of the same scars. I was very young when I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer (29). My husband was out of town for several months on a mission. In my mind I thought to myself, why bother him, he can’t change anything so I didn’t tell him. I had my son who was less than a year old and I trudged through it , my husband returned two weeks before my bilateral mastectomy.

message 17: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Ortiz | 733 comments Hi! What are you currently working on?

message 18: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Nicole, I’m currently working on sunday’s Book, she is a kickass PI. I’m also concocting a series set in the world of Susan Stoker, Badges of Honor series.

message 19: by Irma (new)

Irma *Irma The Book Whisperer* | 325 comments Which character of yours 'spoke' to you the most?

message 20: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Hudson | 15 comments What made you want to take the leap from being a children's author to writing romance?

message 21: by Danielle (new)

Danielle Norman (1daniellenorman) | 21 comments Of all characters, Piper was the one who spoke to me. Her story just came out in a breath.

I still write children’s books but less and am hoping to stop all together. The genre has changed. They have become very “write within your race”. I write nonfiction, sorry. 95% of children’s authors are white. The last thing we need is to whitewash school book shelves. — that may sound too heavy but I wanted to write about strong people in history no mater race, sex, religion, etc.
