sign-ups are going to go through Monday and we will be starting on Tuesday
i'll post the pairings of what made it through over the weekend - a few surprises in there for me, but not too many

With World Cup 2014 officially over and done with (congrats Germany), its time for the 1st RRRC World Cup of Romance Genres. Have you ever wondered which romance genre/sub-genre/theme is the most popular and wanted to try a wide variety, then this tournament may be for you.
Phase 2 – Knock-Out Rounds
The initial results are in, and the two genres/themes from each of the 8 groups have been determined and its time to move on to the knock-out round.
In this phase of play, books will be read in pairs - each pair will face of with each other to determine the winner (much like the knock-out round in the world cup).
The first round will feature the 16 sub-genres/themes from the round-robin that made it through. This round will last 1 month
There will be a minimum of 2 books (1 pair) required and a maximum of 16 books (8 pairs)
You may request additional pairings during the course of the month. New assignments for pairs will be made on Tuesdays and Friday. You must complete your inital pair, but before requesting a new one.
Participants may select either 1 or 2 pairs to begin with, other pairs must be requested.
Incomplete pairs will NOTcount towards the final tally.
Books will be ranked/rated on the presence of the theme/how well theme reflected in the book (out of 5) and enjoyment (out of 5) - highest score out of the 2 is the winner
Sign-up's will be open until 6pm EST Monday Sept 22
Reading will start September 23 and go until October 23
Book Length: 150pgs or 45k words
