Ms. Nikki (miznikki) | 13944 comments It's that time again. The weather is changing. Fall is here. What shall we read this October? Do we want a Spooky Halloween story or a Fall seasonal read?

What book will you suggest for us? Make it good.

*If you don't plan on reading with the group, please do not make suggestions as this is unfair to those who do participate*

Authors: NO SELF PROMOTION

Thank you,
HA

message 27: by Norman (new)

Norman Dixon (normandixonjr) | 1 comments I suggest House of Leaves not sure if everyone has done it yet but it's filled with atmosphere (5 1/2 minute hallway or the quarter for those who have read it.) and it's interactive to boot.

message 28: by Judith (new)

Judith Gonzalez | 21 comments I think a classic halloween story would be awesome. I mean, we can only read it once a year in the right atmosphere isn't? It is not the same watching Halloween on february as it is on October. Just sayin'

Robert Mingee (robertmingee) | 776 comments There are a few I can think of, but I'm assuming I'm constrained to one nomination, so I have to go with Stewart O'Nan's brilliant "The Night Country".

I read it every Halloween anyway (actually, the audiobook is great, so I often listen to it instead), and I'd love some company and for more people to read this book! :-)

message 39: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Anderson Something from Robert McCammon? I just finished "Gone South" and while I know that one isnt "horror" it at least showed me what an amazing author he is. Maybe "Swan Song" or "Blue World"?
