Hi. A Goodreads Librarian added a new version of my first book with a new cover a couple weeks ago. The new cover had been showing up, but now it's gone.

Would someone be willing to redo it? And help make sure it's permanent...

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers because users like to shelve the edition that matches the one they own. It looks another librarian made a cover change that went against policy, and it was subsequently reverted. When a book is re-released with a new cover but an old ISBN/ASIN, we create an alternate cover edition (ACE) instead, and you as the author have the ability to set the new cover as the default edition. I have created an ACE for the ebook edition here:

Yes, I understand the policy, but I didn't know what had happened to the new cover or why.

I have another question. My third book says it has 6 ratings, but I only see 4. And the overall star rating is 3.5, though the four ratings are 1 3 star, 2 four stars and 1 five stars, which should = an overall rating of 4 stars. What's going on there?

there are a total of 8 ratings currently on your book, one 5-star, three 4-star, three 3-star, and one 2-star. thus average = 3.5.

Then why do I only see 4?

Reviews are cached. Unless you sort them by star rating directly, it may take a day or two to see them all.

These are reviews that have been there for months and do not show up when I go to my dashboard and click on the book. Are there certain reviews that only show up for specific versions/editions of the book?

I see 6 reviews with text and two with only a rating.
All reviews should be visible on all editions, unless you select with the filter for the reviews 'this edition'

They weren't showing up before, but now they are. Maybe there was a temporary glitch after the new cover addition. Thanks for your help everyone.
