Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Good evening.

I was wondering if being an author and being a librarian are incompatible in Goodreads. If so, I prefer to be a librarian so I can be more useful to the Goodreads' community.

Hi Tadiana

Before making a decision like this, I would suggest doing some research into how Goodreads works. For example, other than the moderator, we are all volunteers here & have no influence on GR decisions. & we aren't meant to discuss things like this.

I would suggest reading the manual (link at the top of this group) so you know a bit more about how things work. :)

Authors are not granted librarian permissions except for the ones they are allowed on their own books if they are the primary author.

I'm totally sure about the change: I am more useful to the community as a librarian than being an author.

How can I ask for this change?

You can ask for your Goodreads Author status to be removed, but you will still have to apply to be a librarian separately, which is not guaranteed--it's a completely different program than the author program.
