I'm a big fan of Supernatural and I have a Tumblr if anyone is interested in following me http://nyotauhuraspock.tumblr.com
I look forward to chatting to people on here :)

I've been an avid reader, but the intense reading comes in waves. Part of my work in the past meant traveling for months at a time, usually to conduct testing (I was a physicist for almost 30 years), and books were a great way to escape the pressures. I use a Kindle now, because—when I read a lot, I read at least a book per day, and have read two in a day at times.
YA is one of my favorite genres because of the characters. The YA characters often have intense feelings and exhibit intense emotions, somewhat less complicated by the ambiguities in interactions that grow up around us as we age.
I published an older MG novel last November, called The Boy Who Ran, but had written another book (a YA / SciFi hybrid ) in parallel with that, which I'm prepping for publication late this year, called "The Balance". before tackling the YA book, I read 220 YA books with strong female protagonists and mostly written by women, to help me saturate my mind with the thinking of teenage girl main characters—in my story, the main character is a 17 year old girl. Anyway, enough about my books.
There are a lot of great stories out there, and some exceptional writers. I'm always on the lookout for a well told story, with an interesting plot and compelling, realistic characters, and I like reading even more than I do writing.

Some of my favorite books are the PJO series, Divergent, The Hunger Games and all the John Green books.

Thank you so much! I also have a FaceBook page for the blog :)

Hi Louise.

Also- Hi Imane, Carol and A.I. :)

You're in good company. There are a number of librarians at my local library who do the same, et al.

Besides reading, I love music (including singing, playing instruments and listening), drawing and handcrafts.
Book genres I like: YA, fantasy, mythology (ex rick riordan), paranormal, romance, dark romance(twilight).
Favorite book: I don't have a favorite, but there are a few that can be listed as "most loved" or 5"-star-rated".
Nice to meet you all!

The incredible folks at Fierce Ink Press have signed up my young adult fantasy Membrane for KDP select for Kindle next week. From April 7 to April 11 readers who have opted in to KDP select will be able to get Membrane for free. If you haven't checked it out, feel free. And if you'd like to write a Goodreads review, I'd be very grateful.

Hi! My name is Kush and I am very excited about joining this group. When I looked up a YA book club, this was the first one I found and when the book of the month was Cinder (which I am currently reading) I could not wait to join. I LOVE to read and write (I am currently working on a novel) and am looking forward to discussing books with you all (I am VERY opinionated). Thanks for reading this and I look forward to reading with you!

Anything to do with angels, vampires and love I love reading! If anyone has suggestions of some great books I haven't read please let me know!
Looking forward to talking to people who enjoy books like I do and want to add me as a friend :-)..

Yes, I have a pen name, unbelievably it just came to me one day. Maybe we authors hide behind that from fear.
Anyhow, I'm glad to be here and know that some books will stay with you for a lifetime, they are that good!
I'm interested to find out what teens and young adults want to read; what they have desires for beyond school and phones.
Thanks and see ya round.

xo

Bye.

bye for now

Hi! My name is Sophie. I'm a book-obsessed teenager whose other hobbies include writing, playing the piano, singing, and debating. I'm a hardcore feminist and book critic, and I'm excited to be part of this group! :)
