This week, share your three favourite books or series that were even better the second time around!

I've only re-read three series so this is easy.

The Complete Malazan Book of the Fallen

The Way of Kings

The Lord of the Rings

I did start to re-read Wheel of Time but quickly realized it wasn't going to hold up the second time and stopped.

Bill | 2150 comments I rarely do rereads so these are mostly books I used to reread when I was younger.

1. The Hobbit/LotR - always a packaged deal never read one without the other.
2. Watership Down - this was my favorite book as a teenager and I read it a bunch of times.
3. Stormlight Archive - I reread the first two earlier a few months back in order to read the 3rd. Held up well.

Shae | 372 comments 1. Harry Potter Boxed Set: The Complete Collection - This series evokes such strong nostalgia, I've read these in paperback, on my kindle and listened to the audio books with my children.
2. Anything from the Discworld series, in particular; Monstrous Regiment - I've read this a couple of times over the years and it makes me laugh every time :-)
3. The Chronicles of Prydain Boxed Set - This series is wonderful, I first read it when I was a child and then re-read it with each of my children.

Aakash (procrastinator) | 448 comments I have just started reading a year ago so I had done very less rereading.
1.Percy Jackson and the olympians.
2.Heroes of olympus.
3.There comes time when I start new series but stop after reading the first book. I again read the first book when I am totally sure to complete the series at once.
e.g (I) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I had read this book in 2016 and didn't go for the sequel but when in 2018 BR was set up in this group, I started again from the start.
Similarly, (II) The Sword of Summer

Prydain is great! I read the first book in April and really enjoyed myself

So glad you enjoyed it! The books in the Prydain Chronicles are fairly small in terms of page count, but they have such depth in terms of theme and writing style :-)
