Hi all! I am the author of "At Fawn's Edge: The Entrant," the first entry in a Sci-Fi series that follows the rise and fall of two planets locked in a Cold War and manipulated by forces beyond anyone's control. I would love the opportunity to discuss aspects of the book with anyone interested (good or bad), and look forward to discussing other stories with y'all on the discussion boards.
The book will be available to download for free from Amazon from September 25th - September 26th.
***Summary***
"What does it mean to die?" These words call to Gignesthay in his sleep, the speaker a forgotten shade of his past. Drawn out of the ashen refuge of his mind, he finds himself imprisoned upon the strange planet of Galendril, its surface wrapped in trees taller than skyscrapers and stone labyrinths older than those that call it home. Far above floats the mysterious planet Pantheon. In stark contrast to Galendril's advanced civilization filled with body augmentation, drones and deep space exploration, the people of Pantheon eschew technology in favor of their mystical innate abilities.
With an ear-screeching blare of alarms, Gignesthay finds his strange prison transformed into a battlefield. Fierce beasts birthed from nightmares tear through his captors with ease, human and mechanical alike. Though he manages to escape, his life is sent into a chaotic spiral with strange enemies in pursuit, and even stranger allies. He finds himself in the company of a grizzled veteran lost to his own regret, a teenager whose lies have become more real than her truths, and a scientist forced into a war between worlds. Through it all, the planet Pantheon hangs above their heads, a muted herald of ancient secrets and fallen gods.
