message 453: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Great job bumping our total for this round to 16 completed books, Abigail! I'll go get that posted for you, as your chance book. Woohoo!

message 454: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Great job, team! Sorry my reading pace has dragged this week...I’ve been so tired that I fall asleep as soon as I get still. 😴

message 455: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hannah, I'm right there with you! My pace has slowed because of various things that popped up this past week. Hoping for better pacing this week. I hope you find some good rest soon!

message 456: by Andrea (last edited Sep 23, 2019 12:39PM) (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Hey, gals. I'm squeezing this series into my reading schedule the next week or so (two on audio should fly by, and the final book will be a paperback). I'm still working on my other claimed spots, which are both library books, so top priorities to finish up soon (hopefully both of them this week). Does anyone need help with any of their spots this round?

Private Justice series by Irene Hannon
#1 Vanished - 328 pages - pub 1/1/2013
#2 Trapped - 393 pages - pub 9/1/2013
#3 Deceived - 408 pages - pub 10/7/2014
Vanished (Private Justice, #1) by Irene Hannon Trapped (Private Justice, #2) by Irene Hannon Deceived (Private Justice, #3) by Irene Hannon

If everyone's still good to go on their claimed tasks, I'll slip these three books into slots for the next round.

message 457: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments That's a good series! #3 is my favorite.

message 458: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I’m glad to hear it! I have heard there’s a character in the series that will make an appearance in book three of the Code of Honor series. Since my library has two on audio and one in pb, I thought I’d squeeze it in before that review book comes in the mail.

message 459: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Oh, I see! That's exciting.

message 460: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Halfway through our card, folks!

message 461: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Yay!

message 462: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I claimed a couple more spots in the next round. Just got some review books in the mail, and found some slots for those Private Justice books I mentioned a day or so ago.

message 463: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Harris (authorabigailkay) | 174 comments I'm reading The Gryphon Heist (Talia Inger #1) by James R. Hannibal now. I'm on page 39, I was suppose to have my review up by yesterday, oops!

message 464: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Oopsie indeed! Hopefully the pages will fly for you.

Abigail Harris (authorabigailkay) | 174 comments Andrea wrote: "Oopsie indeed! Hopefully the pages will fly for you."

It's just slight, I don't know, boring so far and I think I called something that is supposed to be a plot twist... Ugh!

message 466: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Oh. One of those. (Insert eye roll here.) So sorry. I know it's tough to keep reading when that happens. Maybe try setting a timer for ten or twenty minutes at a time and keep trying to beat your previous page count? That sometimes helps me through a boring book. And sometimes it surprises me and the plot/action picks up and gets interesting that way too.

message 467: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Abigail, did you read these books recently? We haven't used them yet, but we could if you read them after Aug. 20, as all of them are at least 100 pages.

For Such a Time by Kate Breslin Ford (The Montana Marshalls #3) by Susan May Warren Wyatt (The Montana Marshalls #4) by Susan May Warren As the Light Fades by Catherine West The Rescue (All Roads Lead to Texas Book 1) by Tanya Eavenson Love on the Mend (Full Steam Ahead, #1.5) by Karen Witemeyer Christmas Vows $5.00 Extra by Lori Copeland The Moffats (The Moffats, #1) by Eleanor Estes Ginger Pye (The Pyes, #1) by Eleanor Estes The Christmas Doll by Elvira Woodruff

*I was snooping for some good reviews on your page and noticed more books than what you'd shared here so thought I'd ask. :)

** If you did read them on/after Aug. 20, I'll need read dates for the last three books, as those are not put in on your review (the others are, I noticed). Thanks!

Lol! I read As The Light Fades, and The Rescue earlier this month. And I read Ford, Wyatt, Love On The Mend, and Christmas Vows this past weekend and this week. The Moffats, Ginger Pye, and Christmas Doll are for a blog post, I haven't read those in years, For Such A Time As This was a month or so ago.

message 469: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Okay, so I'm clear to use the following ones, correct??

As the Light Fades
The Rescue
Ford
Wyatt
Love on the Mend
Christmas Vows

I think I won't use For Such a Time, since the "or so" might put us prior to August 20.

message 470: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments I notice you weren’t super into As the Light Fades. I didn’t like the earlier connected book either.

Rightyo, and yeah, I'm pretty sure that I read For Such A Time was before, I don't remember and didn't mark it down.

It wasn't too great.

message 473: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Awesome. Thanks so much, Abi!

If you'll keep marking read dates on your reviews (those dates you know for sure) and/or post them here, I'll find a spot for them. And if I'm uncertain about one on your page, I'll ask you again like tonight. :)

I might be bumping some of your other books to the next card, but, trust me, they will still be used once you finish them. How are the Turano books coming along? Or are those on hold until you finish Gryphon?

On hold, sadly. I HAVE to finish it quickly.

message 475: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Gotcha. Well, let's hope Gryphon picks up the pace for you! :)

message 476: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Abi, do you have a page count for Wyatt? I couldn't find that anywhere so far...

message 477: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments All right. I'm waiting on a page count from Abigail (see previous comment) and a question answered from Melanie (asked in the sign-up thread).

Besides that, I have posted three of Abigail's books for this round. I have also moved two of my books up to this round to cover two categories for Monique, who is still suffering from eye spasms and headaches.

Please keep praying for relief and healing for her, gals.

Maria and Monique's next book each will go for their Chance spots.

We're looking fabulous for this round, y'all. We have already finished and posted 20 books! Woohoo!

Abigail Harris (authorabigailkay) | 174 comments Andrea wrote: "Gotcha. Well, let's hope Gryphon picks up the pace for you! :)"

And I'm not finishing Gryphon . . . I don't care for a guy's sick remarks and her little black dress with the gun on her thigh. UGH!!!

I'll have to find one to replace it...

Abigail Harris (authorabigailkay) | 174 comments Andrea wrote: "Abi, do you have a page count for Wyatt? I couldn't find that anywhere so far..."

Ummm, no clue. I have an ARC so I can't say.

message 480: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments For Wyatt: I wasn't sure if your ARC was a paperback or not. I'll hold that one and see if the page count gets posted before the game ends. Thanks!

For Gryphon: Sorry it didn't work out, but so glad you're done with it! Would either of the Turano books work for that category? Those might be fun reads to make up for the yuckiness of Gryphon.

It's an ebook, I want to get the series in paperback, it's pretty good.

I'll be diving into One Final Breath soon so that can take Gryphon's place. IT IS GOING TO BE SO GOOD I JUST KNOW IT!!!

message 482: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Perfect! I hope it's as good (or better!) as you're expecting. You need that after Gryphon. (silly face here)

(All books are in progress, as far as I know.)

message 496: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Abigail, since Hannah had a book for white/black cover this round, I'm slipping Ford (Warren) into your Chance slot for next round. So once you finish One Final Breath for this round, if you want to start on something for any of the empty slots in the tracker for next round, that would be great. Just let me know which spot you choose so I can block it off for you.
