I have been adding Audible Audio editions of Robinson Crusoe. Now audiobook versions of the novel are generally 10-15 hours, depending on production and if it's abridged or not. But I have found quite a few Audible Audio editions that are under two hours. Right now I have them in there as adaptations, since so much was cut out. Is this the right thing to do, or do they count as extremely abridged editions of the original work? (Most are in foreign languages.)

An adaptation is not merely abridged, but has been rewritten in different (often age-appropriate) language. If it's just shortened, but all the language is from the original, that's an abridgment.
