Sara (mootastic1) | 770 comments This book was a fairly standard example of the dystopia genre. Broken down into thirds, the first part of the book is setup for the survival story to follow. I enjoyed reading the story, but the prose was a bit bland, the story not at all unique, and found it read a bit like a young adult novel. I think my 16 year old son would greatly enjoy this book, but for me it was just average. One has to wonder why it was long listed for the Booker Prize.

Sara (mootastic1) | 770 comments Yeah, I didn't love it like you did, nor did I hate. It just felt kinda meh the whole way through.
