Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Addicts discussion

I need some recommendations where we have one or both of the leads HATING each other before they fall in love. Like "I hate you, I want to murder you, I am going to fight this, I will end you....oh you're not so bad."

I've read Lothaire- which did a good of that IMO.

Any recommendations that lean towards a more serious read vs funny/comical would be much appreciated. I really like horror- not cutesy/witty heroines and heroes. Blood, guts and steam!

I find almost all of Kresley Coles IAD series have a element of I hate you to them. MacRieve is a stand out one in the series.

Second, I agree with Ashlee - Kresley Coles is great and MacRieve is wonderful.

If you can take a little sci-fi with your fantasy, try The League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The second book (Born of Fire) is about a bounty hunter who falls in love with her target. Both likable characters who hate each other.

Great! Yes like a little sci-fi thrown in there! I've read some Kresley Cole, but not MacRieve....looking it up now!
