What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

(spoilers ahead)

Earlier this year (2019) i read a book about this woman who was hired to go undercover to break out this very dangerous dragon shifter from a specialized shifter prison where only the baddest of the bad go. uhhh i vaguely remember that the heroine was human but she had this special ability to read minds or something? and the dragon shifter could also read minds too. And the prison they had him in were trying to kill his inner dragon or something which would turn his eyes a weird color?? idk

oh, and said dragon shifter was the leader of a group of other shifters who later on try to break him out. these other shifters were the MCs of previous books in the series.

i remember really enjoying it and since it was part of a series with other MCs (see above) i wanted to read the ones before it BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF IT OR THE AUTHOR I'M GOING CRAZY HERE!!

Might be a long shot but maybe Taken by a dragon by felicity Heaton? It's part of the eternal mates series. There is an imprisoned dragon, and characters from the other books help to rescue him. The rescuers are not dragons though.

I'm not sure this is the right book, but I also don't remember enough detail to rule it out. It does involve a supernatural prison though so you might want to take a look. Good luck!
