One of the best books ever! I can't wait to read the Evolution of Mara Dyer. Noah Shaw is an amazing book boyfriend!

I've been wanting to read it so this gives me an excuse. Also I'm thinking about putting the rule up on here you can suggest book in a series as long as we read the first one (example: we can't read book B till we read book A and then can't read book C till book B is read.) should I put it up or do people just asume that?

I never hurts to put it out there just in case. :)

Tough, just a warning. Once you read book one...you'll have to finish book two or your life will be incomplete. Mine will be until the last book comes out in November. It's slow torture waiting on it. :(

I'd see if your library have it, read it and then if you want buy it but if your library doesn't have it then you could buy it. Just my option.

I say buy it, but of course I read it and loved it, so I'm glad I bought it. But if you're unsure, definitely check the library. If no luck there check used bookstores. They are considerably cheaper...usually.

I LOVE this book! It was so addicting I had to buy book two right away. I got the book for $1.99 in the Kindle app but now it's gone back up to regular price which is like almost $8. You can buy the paperback version at Barnes and Noble for $10. That's not much more than the ebook. Given that difference, I'd always go with the physical copy. It's nice to actually hold the book your reading. I connect with the story better that way. Just my advice. :)

I'm just over halfway and I'm really enjoying it! I'm not sure what I expected, but it's definitely intriguing.

Yeah, it goes in a direction you don’t really expect.

I LOVE Noah Shaw, but that’s just me. And you think this book is crazy? Wait until book two...if you read it!

Or if you want to you can suggest the next book for next month.

Brittany (Brittinbookland) (shereadsalotofbooks) | 135 comments Mod
Sure! We could do that. I need to refresh my mind of it anyway around early November. That's when The Retribution of Mara Dyer comes out! Maybe I will request book 2 for November's read.

Oh, I also meant to tell you. If you want to read a book similar to what you just described, two mental patients falling in love, read "It's Kind of a Funny Story." I'm waiting to see if it gets picked for November before I read it, but I thought the movie was good.

I have it but I haven't read it yet. I just pre-ordered The Retribution of Mara Dyer from Barnes and Noble! So excited!!!

Now would be a good time, yes. You won't have to wait nearly two months like I did. :)

I finished it last night and I kept looking for more pages, I have so many questions!!! I have the 2nd book from the library and I'm very tempted to start it, but I'm not sure what to do. I might take a break and go back to the Mortal Instruments series.

Ohhh....I love The Mortal Instruments! I've read the whole series two times and the first two books, three times. It's very good.

I would be starting City of Ashes, I've only read City of Bones so far. I can't decide because I thought about starting the Vampire Academy series, but I also have The Evolution of Mara Dyer available to read too.
