Addicted to YA discussion

What did you think of it? Favorite or least favorite characters? Favorite or least favorite part?

I just read this in one sitting, I loved it. It was a very gentle book. And a sweet story.

Though, I did have a problem with the end -

(view spoiler)[ First off, I was totally rooting for Ari to realize he loved Dante. I'm a hopeless romantic. But, my problem is how everyone told Ari he was in love with his best friend. Of course he did. But having love for someone doesn't mean you want a romantic relationship with them. Except for the kiss, which Ari's parents didn't know about, there was nothing sexual about their friendship. I loved the end. Don't get me wrong. But it does feed into the stereotype that a straight man can't be friends with a gay man. And not only is that wrong, it's dangerous. It's thinking like this that causes gay-bashing.

Also - the kiss... Ari's feelings for Dante came a little out of nowhere for the reader. We got the dreams of Ari kissing someone he couldn't see, obviously it was Dante. But, I didn't feel there was a moment, the moment, when Ari realized his feelings for Dante. (hide spoiler)]

I absolutely loved it. I loved ari.

I loved It but in the middle i was pretty pissed at Ari and i feel like the ending was a little rushed and i want a sequel and a movie!!

I loved this book so much! It was perfect.

This book is probably the only book that actually matters to me. Even though it has no plot, I feel as if the love story was all the story needed. I'm honestly in love with this book.
