On a scale of 1 to 5, the average rating of seven members was a 4. The group really enjoyed the book and characters. The group summed it up as follows:
Ove found life after Sonja's death through assisting his incompetent neighbors. When life intrudes, Ove responds and finds dignity, family, and purpose.
