Cee | 180 comments Hi ladies!

So lately I've been looking for urban fantasy or PNR series to read... But all of them are still in progress! I hate having to keep up with them and having to wait a year between books. Are there any series out there that are finished? The only ones I can think of are Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld, and recently Kim Harrison's Hollows series.

I can't wait to find a new binge-worthy series :D Thanks!

❤Stephanie ღ♥ღMrs Daryl Dixonღ♥ღ The only series i can think of that is finished would be Feral Warriors series by Pamela Palmer. This is the first book Desire Untamed

❤Stephanie ღ♥ღMrs Daryl Dixonღ♥ღ oh and also Dragon Lords series and the spinoff Lords of the Var series by Michelle M. Pillow, don't know how I forgot them since i absolutely love them

First in Dragon Lords The Barbarian Prince

First in Lords of the Var The Savage King

When it comes to the Spinoff of the Demonica series by Larissa Ione there is only 1 book left to the series and it comes out in December so by the time you read all the other books it will probably be out by then.

Just so you know Michelle M. Pillow has just written a few more in the Dragon Lords series and I'm not sure she has stopped.

I thought that the last one was The Dragon's Queen i haven't read it yet so maybe there is more and it somehow mentions more people that haven't been introduced yet.

❤Stephanie ღ♥ღMrs Daryl Dixonღ♥ღ I do know that there are 3 more spinoff series that are connected to the Dragon Lords and Lords of the Var series.

Zhang Dynasty - has 2 books
Space Lords - has one book out and another coming out soon
Galaxy Playmates - has 4 books

I haven't read any of these books but I do want to read them,

message 18: by Kelleigh (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) | 46 comments Also, the Rachel Morgan ( the hollows ) series by Kim Harrison is complete! If you can get past a slow first book, the others are amazing!

message 19: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Kelleigh - I know! It's one of my favourite series, I think I've read the first six so far :D Really looking forward to see what Harrison does next

message 20: by Komal (new)

Komal | 82 comments I second Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning and Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett . All three are absolutely amazing. Good luck on your search :)

message 21: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Thank you Komal! I'm really excited about starting those ^^

message 22: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashleycw) | 147 comments I think The Bloodhound Files Dying Bites (The Bloodhound Files, #1) by D.D. Barant is really great and isn't well known enough. Its got a little bit of everything.

And I LOVE The Parasol Protectorate Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger . And there is a YA spin off prequel that is still going and another spinoff that comes out next year.

Another one that I love and only has two books is Bloodshot (Cheshire Red Reports, #1) by Cherie Priest Hellbent (Cheshire Red Reports, #2) by Cherie Priest

message 23: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Thanks for the Cherie Priest rec, Ashley! I only know her from her Boneshaker books and those are still ongoing

message 24: by Emme (new)

Emme | 2 comments First and foremost Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning . However, this is a technicality because the series is only over from Mac's perspective. She picks up in book 6 (which, book 7 is due out in hardcover in January) from Dani's perspective. I just finished this series last week (up through book 5, Mac's last) and it's one of the best series I've ever read.

Then I also second Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger .

My favorite (finished) series are: Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten WhiteWake (Dream Catcher, #1) by Lisa McMannGrave Sight (Harper Connelly, #1) by Charlaine HarrisSuccubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle MeadMagic to the Bone (Allie Beckstrom, #1) by Devon Monk

I also just started the Experiment in Terror series, and although I'm only reading the third book I can already tell it's going to be a favorite: Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle The series is also finished.

message 30: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Great recommendations, Cmkage! I really enjoyed the Mind Games books by Kiersten White, I'll have to give the Paranormalcy books a try as well.

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Hi Celine, I've been creating series reading order lists and thought of your post. Some of the series have ended and may be of interest. You can find them in this folder. Completed series have an * before the series name. I'm also indexing those threads here for quick reference, but that's a work in progress and will be updated as new series lists are created.

Anyway, just another way you might find series that have finished. :D

message 34: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Ooo, that is fantastic Steph! I've already spotted a few I didn't know about. Thanks :D

Yes and No...the first 5 books are a complete set but then she decided to continue it for another 5 books of which only 2 are out.

message 37: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jul 20, 2015 02:59PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Right. I think initially they were meant to be Dani books, but she got a lot of flack and switched back to Mac.

While waiting for the next book in Devon Monk's House Immortal series, I recently started her Allie Beckstrom series (#1: Magic to the Bone; final book #9 rls'd in 2012) and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's a magic-filled world and in that world ... when a magic user uses magic, magic uses them back. Basically, the user suffers (sometimes aches/pains, memory loss, etc) or proxies the "use" to another. I'm not explaining this well, but if you like UF books about magic, you may enjoy it. :D

Pam (psteinke) Is it just me or do you all have two goodreads windows open too? Everytime I pull up a thread I end up opening another tab so I can mark stuff "to read" and not lose the thread. My "to read" pile has grown considerably since joining this group!!

I was saddened that Moning decided to switch back to Mac. I feel like fans are at the point where no one feels they got what they were looking for.

As for Devin Monk's series, it looks really good! I have it on my TBR ^^

I got three Goodreads tabs open right now :D

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments LOL! I don't think I spend a day on GR where I have less than 4-5 windows open at once. Main page and SOS open always - the rest vary depending on what we've got goin' on @ SOS.

Yeah, I wasn't sure I'd like ICED b/c of all the controversy I was hearing, but I really enjoyed it and was actually looking forward to more of Dani and the boys. And, while I liked Mac and Barrons, I was a bit disappointed when I read BURNED and learned she'd switched back to focus more on them. :/ Sad.

ETA: Forgot to say, if you like listening to audiobooks, I recommend listening to that series - the narration is great (IMO)!

Hope you like one or both of Monk's series. I bought, but never started her Allie series, then read House Immortal #1 soon after #2 was released and thank goodness b/c by the end of #1 I was choppin' at the bit to know what happened next. Now, I'm stuck waiting for #3 to be rls'd, that's why I decided to finally start Allie Beckstrom. I'm really liking it and it's very different from her House Immortal series.

Lauren (laurenjberman) Celine wrote: "I was saddened that Moning decided to switch back to Mac. I feel like fans are at the point where no one feels they got what they were looking for."

Ditto! Mac has always annoyed me and I was looking forward to Dani growing up and coming into her own. Oh well...

message 45: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Yeah, me too, oh well is right. :/

BTW - Devon Monk's House Immortal series was really a trilogy, so upcoming bk3 is the finale.

message 46: by Meredith (new)

Meredith | 15 comments Celine,
If you enjoyed the Frost series definitely move Rardin's Has Parks series higher of you list of to be read. Also, I really enjoyed the Urban Shaman series by C.E. Murphy which is a completed UF/Para series. A shorter yet complete paranormal series, The Crimson Night(s), by Marie Hall written under the pseudonym R.S. Black was a refreshingly unique storyline involving demon characters based on the 7 deadly sins.

message 47: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Thank you for the recommendations, Meredith!
