basically do you stick to one author for one particular genre? or do try to read many different authors as you can?

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) I read from many authors, but once I've enjoyed the writing style of a particular author, I will read more from them.

S. Rivera (sjacksonrivera) | 2 comments Yep, what she said, (Jamie). I find new books from reviews or buzz on FB, but if I like that author, I binge until I run out of books from him/her, then I go through a frustrated drought for a few days, still mourning the loss of the last author and not willing to commit to a new one quite yet--until I start to go through withdrawals and I hear about a new one or I finally decide to get to my awaiting stash already on my Kindle. (I actually wanted to read them when I ordered them, so I don't quite understand why I struggle to start reading them. Except for the fact that my brain is still stuck on the last one)

I try books from different authors if I find the description interesting but if I liked a book from an author, I try their other works to see what they are like

Les | 974 comments I tend to go through phases where I'm interested in reading a particular style of novel (ex. medieval mysteries). So I'll browse through the library and find several novels by different authors that look interesting. By the time I read them all I'm generally ready to move on to something else. But if any author particularly appealed to me I'll look up their other works on Goodreads and put something on the To Be Read list. However, I do admit to have binged on Ellis Peters and Robert Heinlein among others.

I have to say if like a particular writing style then I would binge read that author especially if it is a series that they have wrote like the Harry Potter series. But typically I do try to read new authors to broaden my reading stance, hopefully I can read loads of books or at least own my own little library of books before I die. :)
