The Garden
Suli Mac Caba walked into the Garden with a sigh. She was going to meet her brother who worked here. However, he was not here when she arrived, so she was sitting around and waiting.
Nemisis Trinity Lynx walks into the Garden strolling around trying to clear her mind of her FAthers reagent death. She shook her head fighting of emotions as she usually did. Fighting. What she always did in the Resistance, she was the head field fighter after all though.
Suli saw another human and called over to her, "Hey!" She smiled, trying not to seem strange. "What's your name?"
Nemisis heard a girl call over but ignores her. She sticks her hands inside her pockets and strolls past not even giving a passing glance. She didn't like other people. Or people in general.
Suli pinched her lips at being ignored. She sauntered over to the other person, a wide, fake grin on her face. "I said 'hey' and asked you your name. Aren't you going to say something?" She put her hands on her hips.
She looks at the girl and raises and eyebrow. "Nope" she answers steering around her.
"Actually," Suli said, moving herself back into Nemesis's path, "you just did. So, name, hi, please." Her grin grew wider. She crossed her arms.
"Nope" she grins again wheeling around and walking backwards. She secretly rolled her eyes at the girls persistence.
"And there you go again, saying something. Keep this up and you'll be a natural conversationalist!" Suli beamed, again getting in Nemesis's way. "So, your name, or am I meant to call you 'Nope'?"
"Nemisis" she finally says, "Now keep this up and you'll be a natural bloody lump on the floor" she says pushing her away from her path.
"Really? You will be?" Suli asked, grinning. She tapped her foot on the floor. "So, Nemesis, what do you do for a living?"
"Why should I tell you that?" she huffs giving up apon leaving.
"Because your ears are going to fall off if I keep talking, and you're probably rather attached to them," she exclaimed brightly, still grinning at Nemesis.
"Actually living without hearing you talk sounds rather nice" she frowns.
"Then start talking," Suli commanded, not reacting to the clear insult.
"I still don't see the point" she shrugs plain faced.
"You interested in keeping your ears on or no?" Suli deadpanned.
"Depemds" she shrugs wearing a snotty smile
"So if I were to take a knife and cut them off you it'd be okay?" Suli asked, her smile turning overly sweet.
"I don't think you'd get that far" she shrugs again. Nemisis was head of fighting anyway.
"Try me," Suli said, grinning cockily. She was pretty good, trying out to be a spy for the Council as she was, and she knew the area.
"I think you already know who I am" she smirks and rolls her eyes.
"I think that you are someone who needs a lesson in making conversation?" Suli answered with a wink.
She scowls, "I work with the Concil" he shrugs huffing giving up. It was lie but she was good at lying to people.
Suli just looked at her. "Strange." She didn't explain her comment.
"how come" her eyes shimmered coldly looking at the girl I front of her. This girl was too suspicious.
"You act nothing like a Council person, but what does a civilian know?" A smile faded, and a smirk replaced it.
"The council can have any attitude they want" she shrugs and turns around walking away.
"Course, all the Council people I've met don't behave much like you at all." She raised her eyebrows as she followed Nemesis.
"Maybe I want to bring something diffent to the Council" she shrugs smirking.
Suli knew the girl was lying. Being herself 17 and loyal to the Council, she figured that the girl wouldn't be "working with them" so much as "training to work under the Council". Under was, of course, the key term. She raised her eyebrows. "Maybe, but I don't think uprisings are new."
"Who said anything about uprisings?" he r face flat showing no emotion or signs of thought at all. Dead serious.
Suli smiled again. She could see the girl change attitudes almost entirely. So implying that she was for the Resistance had revealed the truth.
"Figure it out yet?" she huffs impatient waiting for the girl who seemed to take longer than she thought to figure it out.
Suli, of course, had no intentions of explaining her intuition. She burst out laughing when she realized that Nemesis was expecting a proper response.
She rolls here eyes, she wasn't Looking for a response very much. Her face doesn't move from her emotionless stage and walks off leaving her behind. She was the Resitance head of fighting in its verbal and physical but she didn't fight with people like Suli.
Suli calmed down a few seconds later. "What brought you here?"
She didn't answer. She strolled along plainly.
Suli stepped back into Nemesis's path.
"Gosh dang you! Get out of my way or I will make sure you'll never see living day light again" she scowls pushing Suli away knocking her to the ground and storming past.
Suli leaped back onto her feet with ease. "You're the one trying to walk through me!" Suli protested, jogging to catch up with Nemesis. She succeeded a moment later.
"Your the one who keeps walking I front of me" she growls changing directions quickly then going back jerking her out and getting ahead of her.
They were approaching the door, and Suli made a point to step in front of it before Nemesis actually got near it.
"What in the heck do you want!" she growls her patience wearing off quickly. He hand shifts secretly back to the knife and gun strapped to her back.
Suli looked at her. "Nothing," she said, shrugging. She was applying to be a spy, and she had already gotten a valuable piece of information off Nemesis.
"freakin spy" she mumbles pushing past her into the building.
Suli rolled her eyes and grinned after Nemesis.
"I am gonna go on a limb here a say your actually ARE a spy" she keeps her face straight.
"I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're Resistance," Suli countered, raising her eyebrows.
The Garden has an artificial sky, is a source of oxygen for the City, several ponds with bio-luminescent fish, some of which are used for medical needs and are sold to the public- medicine fish for sale. They are often used for sushi and other seafood and are considered a delicacy.
