Fantasy Book Club discussion

Post here when you've finished reading the September read/October discussion Goodreads Authors fantasy book, War for the Oaks by Emma Bull.

I read this one awhile ago and really enjoyed it. I think I picked this one up because Neil Gaiman praised it but I can’t remember if that was this book or another – anyway, I’ll try to find time for a re-read but I don’t know it that will happen – either way looking forward to discussing it.

I have to ask, was I the only one humming as I was reading the book? I love the chapter titles.

I read it... um, a year or so ago. I wasn't all that impressed with it.

I also read it about a year ago, maybe two. It was good at the time, but I agree, the plots and characters didn't stick with me like some other books that I've read. Still it was a good book just not extrodinary. If I have time I'll read it again an see if my opinion change.

I've read it. The book haven't impressed me but I find it rather pleasant reading - it is different than fantasy books I usually read.
