A historical fiction work set around two women who rode the rails in post-depression era USA. Enjoyed the unusual perspective.

PattyMacDotComma | 621 comments Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency ― THE WOLF WHO CRIED BOY is a twist with an environmental bent on the folk tale of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. I like this version by Bali Rai better.

Woman Reading (is away exploring) | 21 comments The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth

This was my first novel by Sally Hepworth. This was well written but domestic thrillers might not be for me.

My overdue review -- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Billie's Not So Secret Diary (billiesnotsosecretdiary) | 257 comments Sadly, Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig Two Twisted Crowns (The Shepherd King, #2) by Rachel Gillig wasn't as good as the first. I think it was from the lack of 'recap' so I was struggling to remember why I liked the first book.

Billie's Not So Secret Diary (billiesnotsosecretdiary) | 257 comments A Season of Monstrous Conceptions by Lina Rather A Season of Monstrous Conceptions by Lina Rather was a disappointment. The blurb sounded so good, but all that goodness was given within the first 20 pages and then it rambled to the point it felt as if the pages were multiplying and it would never let me finish.

A debut indie work with great potential but mislabelled as a psychological suspense. Recommending it to lit fic fans.
