Predictions for End of Days

She also said that in her work, she likes to focus on the fact that (and this is a quote) 'dark times come before the happy ending'.
It's not a guarantee of course, but it did sound like it was an important aspect for Susan, that no matter how rough you have it, you have the chance to still get your happy ending.
So maybe we will get ours!

Susan Ee talking about "The Future of Your Happily Ever After"

Thanks for sharing this Polly, really interesting stuff. I just wish the editing hadn't been so appalling it really put me off!

The editing for which?

The interview with Susan Ee - The future of your Happy Ever After

Maybe try reading it in English? It isn't that difficult! :)

By the way guys, have you seen Susan Ee's last retweet on twitter? It's a tumblr photo of a human girl with black wings. I wonder if it's supposed to mean anything. (?)

.@Susan_Ee is announcing something very exciting today! Keep your eyes peeled!
Maybe it's the cover???

About the picture: What the eff is going on??? What does it mean?

I read a tweet that the excerpt is kind of cruel.

Those wings on the cover are feather wings, so that would mean Raffe's wings. But they look torn apart. :/
That worries me...
That worries me...

I'm more worried about that excerpt though. Can we please discuss the fact that Raffe apparantly broke his "No daughters of men" rule many times before? Or what do you guys think Beliel meant with "went through" them?!

Maybe Penryns dad was an Angel because remember Penryn said he "left" (maybe he went to hell because he fell in love with a "daughter of man"-Penryns mom) and that is why he isn't in the picture. If her dad was an Angel that means that Penryn and Paige have Angel blood and are hybrids which also means that Raffe has to kill them because he kills hybrids. Remember when Penryns mom had Penryn take self defense classes? Maybe part of them were to protect her from her mother but what if she had Penryn take classes to protect herself from Raffe? We have already seen Penryn can take down Angels at the politics party in book 2. Now, back to the Angel blood this also could make sense as to why Penryn can pick up Raffes sword and use it. (Because humans can't) and why Paige can control the scorpion men/ locus? Obviously Penryn and Raffe don't know this yet and maybe they will. I believe that if Penryn is a Hybrid it will be a turning point for Raffe too because if he is to kill her "if she is one" then he will want to protect her and he will have to go against everything he has known to what he feels for Penryn and Beliel knows how to use this to his advantage of the situation ( going back to the excerpt) and is just trying to get inside her head I mean maybe Raffe was ruthless and maybe to Raffe Penryn is different from other daughter of men and Raffe has changed a lot from book 1-2 because of how much they have gone through together. I think he has softened and changed and Beliel knows how to get between them and uses the sword and Raffes past to do so. But I believe Raffe will have to fight with himself from what he knows and was to who he is now and how this has changed him. Bringing up his choice to which side he will fight on in End of Days. Along side his kind or among Penryn and the others. I think Penryn could become an Angel based off of what Raffe told Penryn. That she would make a good Angel. I think the wings are either Penryns or Raffes. Meaning that if they are Raffes that he became the Messenger of God and perhaps he was granted Penryn as a reward for saving the world or something. I mean, Once you think about it it kinda makes sense.. I know the whole Penryn becoming an Angel is a long shot but it all makes sense when you fit pieces together. Any other thoeries?

there are a lot of people that think Penryn is either a Nephilim or will be turned into an angel. I don't think so.
Here are a couple of reasons why:
1) Susan Ee has stressed many times the importance of Penryn being human. When asked whether Penryn is Asian or not, she said that it didn't matter, all that mattered was that Penryn is "Human". Plus this part in Book 1, where Penryn says that she's proud to be a daughter of man. Because the humans are always insulted or called just as bad as angels, or unworthy in the books. And Penryn being human shows that humans aren't all that bad, and that although they are weaker than angels (physically) they can be better than them.
2) I absolutely DO NOT think that humans can be turned into angels, or angels were humans at one point. I think they are completely different races. Angels aren't just humans with wings. They have completely other biologies. Besides, if angels used to be humans, why do they condemn humans so much? it doesn't make sense. Raffe scoffs about evolution in book 1 and says he always was 'this perfect'. So, he wasn't a human and then evolved into an angel. Also, angels that get their wings cut off, aren't humans. They are still angels, just wingless.
3) It is never stated that humans can't lift angelswords. No one can, if the sword doesn't give permission. It did give Penryn permission, which is a rare thing, but that explains why she can lift the sword.
4) Penryn remembers her dad. She's not a half-orphan or anything. She remembers that he loved his job and left because he couldn't, at some point, handle her mothers crazyness anymore. So I do not think that he is an angel. She would've noticed.

Oh no, come on. Don't throw anything out of the window :D SO many people believe that Penryn could be Nephilim and I could be totally wrong. I just really don't think that she will become an angel.
However, she tweeted this picture of a dark haired girl with dark angel wings (see above, someone posted it here) so that kind of messes with my mind... So maybe... Penryn will become an angel??!

He didn't break his 'no daughter of men rule' as we know yet, all beliel states is that Raffe has daughter of men companions who wanted to wins his love, they were loyal to him but he wasnt to them, Beliel says raffe is heartless so i doubt raffe was doing anything besides Beliel seems surprised in the first book when he realizing how much Raffe cares for Penryn but i suppose Beliel did say he always thought raffe would become fallen, but for raffe to become fallen would be so out of character and he didn't like humans to begin with and Beliel is clearly trying to manipulate Penryn.
Also about Penryn being nephillim, i doubt it susan makes it clears she human.
I really hope Raffe doesn't become fallen i love raffryn but raffe is so much cooler as an archangel and badass, i really want him to get his wings and sword back.
Like they can only be together in the afterlife - ie Penryn has to die. *insert evil laugh*
