*gives a small bow* I aim to please. ;)
Janice - Would you need to have watched the movie/TV series, or must they just have been filmed?

They just need to have been aired/released. Whether you watch it or not is your choice ;)

You're cruel! I have started making a list and have more than 30 series on the go at the moment. Starting 6 new ones would be insanity...(Of course, counting stuff I must still read for Deserted Island and other books in my house, it's not difficult to do the actual task).

Easy solution, choose a different task for that level!

Again, I'm uncertain which Level to put this in.
Level 2 / Level 3
Read a book told from (2 or 3) different perspectives.
(I'll mostly likely be offline till the 22nd - so apologies in advance for delayed responses.) :)

I put it under level 2, and said 2 or more perspectives. Is that ok?

I agree with you on the level, but "read a book" is a bit unclear. I suggest something like "Read a book from two series that have different perspectives on the same story"?

For the level four task, how do we know that the second book will be published? Do we need to add that a confirmed publication date should be known and it should be within the timespan of the challenge?

Yea we need a confirmed publication date. Atleast a lot of series on goodreads have the next book months or years ahead of time on the author's page with something that says, November 2015. Nah timespan within the challenge is tricky, some authors take longer than a year to get the next book out.
Level 1
Give a series a second chance. Read the second book in a series you were not sure of when you read the first book.
Level 5
Read 5 books that are part of series that were released during this challenge.

I've been writing IT system specifications and testing systems for the past month. My pedantic side is in full force at the moment!

Perfect! Thanks. :)
Perfect! Thanks. :)

Oh whoops, yes it should be "Read two books", I'll change that now. But as for the rest I think it departs too much from Jax's original task, and it makes it significantly more difficult.

@Carolien: I'm afraid I couldn't use you last level 3 nomination as we already have 5 tasks there. You can therefore nominate another task for a different level.

It wasn't missed, but Lauren put it under level 3. Lauren, task 4 under level 3 requires 6 books to complete, so should be part of level 6.

This is the nomination thread for The Serial Killer reading challenge. You may nominate two tasks every week for three weeks or until we have 25 tasks. If the nominations go too slowly I will allow extra nominations.
Tasks must be based on the structure detailed below:
6 levels with 3-5 tasks for each level.
All tasks must relate to books in a series.
To complete the challenge you would have to do a task from each level (21 books), plus any combination of tasks from the first four levels to obtain the remaining four books.
Level 1
5 tasks that you require you to read 1 book in a series e.g. Read the only outstanding book that you haven't read to complete a series
Level 2
3-5 tasks that you require you to read 2 books in a series e.g. Read a 2 book series
Level 3
3-5 tasks which would require you to read 3 books in series e.g. Read the third book in 3 different series by 3 different authors
Level 4
3-5 tasks which would require you to read 4 books in series e.g. Read the first, second, third and fourth books in 4 different series
Level 5
3-5 tasks which would require you to read 5 books in series e,g, Read five books each of which form part of a different series set in the same country
Level 6
3-5 tasks which would require you to read 6 books in series e.g. Read 6 books, each of which form part of a series in 6 different genres.
Please take note of what has already been nominated and try to fill up the levels where tasks are needed.
Enjoy!
