Lauren Smith The Blogrollin' reading challenge is all about supporting book bloggers, so please share your favourite blogs with us :) What genres do they review? Do they have any other interesting articles or features? What exactly is it about them that made you a follower?

I don't actually follow any book blogs. I have not found a convenient method of following blogs. There are a couple who I follow that email you the latest post when it goes out. Any suggestions on how to follow blogs?

Lauren Smith I use Bloglovin': http://www.bloglovin.com/

I also follow a few on Facebook (but that's limited to those with fb accounts).

I have a question. We have to read a book that they 'review or recommend'. What about meme's? So top ten favorites of all time or top ten fav Halloween books etc. This would mean they are recommending it right?

message 7: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Smith Yeah, that's fine, as long as they are saying it was good. So you can't, for example, use a list of top ten tbr titles (because obviously the blogger hasn't read those), or ten most disappointing books, but you can use the ten favourites.

For reviews, it doesn't matter if they liked the book or not, as long as there's a review.

Ok cool. So they have to say that they read it and that it was good.

What if it is something like: Throwback: Best books I read in 2012. That would count right?

Lol I'm just trying to get my bearings. I will probably also ask these questions as the challenge goes, and link to the posts.

message 9: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Smith Yep, that Throwback would be fine :)

No worries, I don't mind questions!

Lauren Smith If you mean that sort of post, then yes - it's top ten re-reads, so the blogger has read them and likes them enough to re-read, so it counts as a list of recommendations.

If you mean using that specific blog as one of the 8 to follow for the challenge, then I'm going to have to say no :( The idea behind it was to support bloggers by both following and reading what they write, and although you can get away with not doing either of those things, it totally defeats the purpose to follow a blog you can't read. Unless you speak German?
