I agree, Wendy-creepy dolls are scary!
I've heard mixed reviews for this movie. I have a few friends that loved and some that didn't. I love creepy doll movies and I loved the conjuring but I don't know if I'll get around to seeing this one in theaters. I'm going to see the book of life this weekend and the Ouija board movie next weekend. the horns comes out on Halloween...!

A friend of mine saw this and said there were many jumpy parts.

Yeah, there were, and those were well-done, for the most part. The problem was the plot wasn't that well thought out or fleshed out. There was a lot of stuff they sort of threw in there without really tying it all together. It seemed like they were relying on the "creepy doll" effect ad the reputation of The Conjuring to carry them through, without having to put as much effort in. We enjoyed it, but it could have been a lot more.

The first "gotcha" moment was pretty good, tho.

you may want to wait for Ouija then.

I just watched this a couple days ago and really liked it.

I watched Annabelle over the weekend and that pretty much sums up how I felt about it.

I saw this last month and I kept waiting for the doll to do something but it never did..like I didn't get it. I remember when this movie came out they made the previews seem creepy and people talked about it like it was hella scary but I wasn't impressed at all.

nah, I liked it more than I thought I would.

This. Rafael hit the nail on head. And unfortunately it is a comment applies to way too many movies nowadays.

Yeah...I do *sheepish grin*. When I get horror, I want horror!
I do enjoy a good spooky plot, but when it all falls apart I'm like - oh MAN!!!!

Much like the bastardized version of the Enfield case offered up in The Conjuring 2. The true circumstances surrounding the case of The Enfield Poltergeist are fascinating enough, but the Conjuring 2 was an absolute mishmash.
The reality of the situation is that the Warrens actually spent less than a day at the house, and yet...Hollywood, eh?

Rather than watch Annabelle, I suggest you read and/or listen to

The Demonologist: The Extraordinary Career of Ed & Lorraine Warren
Exactly. Remember that Jeepers Creepers was based on true events lol. They just don’t tell which bits

Sometimes the only true things are the name of the characters.
Anyone been in it yet? How did you like it?
Loved The Conjuring.
Creepy dolls = always effectful.
