Horror Aficionados discussion

Hey,

I'm looking for some good horror novels inspired by old myths. Any world mythology is fair play. If the book isn't based around old myths but heavily features mythological creatures/figures, that works too. No vampires, werewolves, or zombies, though please, at least not front and center, I'm looking for a road less traveled.

The Mummy or Ramses the Damned by Anne Rice was quite good.

Most of the 'old myths' I've read fall into PNR instead of horror.
