Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week
4a ~ Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

I can't wait to get started! This is my absolute favorite team challenge!
Just a little about me, as an introduction. I'm 37, live in Central Illinois. I have three boys, the oldest of whom just turned 5. The other two are almost 4 and 2 1/2, so my house is basically a war zone of hyper preschoolers, lol. Reading is my way of grabbing some "me time" once everyone is in bed!
Do we have any volunteers to be captain? I would really prefer not to, as things are kind of crazy for me right now. I'm working full-time, plus working a temporary side job helping out a friend with her dissertation, so my hours are a bit limited.

I'm excited to play! I live in Vermont with my Hubby and our dog. Next weekend he goes back to work (he's a chef) so I will have a couple nights a week to myself to binge read. :-D
Calls will be about 6pm my time, which is kind of tough for me to check online, so most likely I wont be able to see the new call until the next morning. If you guys don't mind waiting until the next morning, or even want to check the new call for me, then I don't mind being captain.

I suck at team names too. I tried to find something interesting about 13...
Team Triksideskaphobia (fear of number 13)
Book Coven (a coven of witches is 13 people)
Jason's Groupies (Friday the 13th movie)
13 Black Cats
I thought to play on our names but together we spell Ass. Lol!

I'm horrible at names. My brain just goes completely blank whenever the subject of team names comes up.

Lol, Sunshine! I noticed that about our names too.

I will read

I enjoy this series overall, but Leda was annoying to me at times in this installment. She has leveled up and has the Siren's Song power which allows her to compel other people. Her relationship with Nero is moving slowly but Nero does show a somewhat softer side towards her though. The premise of the Legion of Angels and the various levels are interesting. There is plenty of action and I am curious to see how the surprise at the end factors in going forward in the series.

I'm feeling kind of torn on this one. On one hand, the last quarter of the book was really good and left me with the feeling that I had to start the next one right away. On the other hand, the rest of the book felt like nothing much was really happening. I wasn't necessarily bored, but I didn't feel an intense need to keep reading either, which isn't a good thing. That being said, I will definitely be picking up the next one, as the ending left me curious where things were going from here.

Leda has been working extra hard to advance up the Legion as fast as she can. As part of going to investigate the Witches, Leda is to advance to the 2nd level and get the power of the Witch’s Cauldron. I like Leda. She is definitely strong-willed but she is becoming a powerhouse player that is catching the attention of the higher ups. Especially Nix, the First Angel. I'm glad that there isn't going to be a love triangle, like it was being suggested in the first book. I like Nero, so can't wait to see how these two progress. Looking forward to the next book.

I've loved Naasir since he was introduced in the series, so I was excited to get to his book. All in all, I was happy, but for some reason, there were times that felt a little slow. Not boring, really, but just slow. I liked the chemistry between Naasir and Andromeda, and I felt they worked together well as a couple. I also enjoyed the glimpses into what's going on with Raphael and Elena, as well as Illium. It definitely feels like things are ramping up, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Amelia is back in Charleston and haunted by the ghosts of Devlin's dead wife and daughter while trying to solve a murder for another ghost so he can move on. I enjoyed her adventures and was hoping she and Devlin would reunite. A new character, Darius, was introduced over the course of her investigation and I found him interesting. The ending felt rushed but I plan to continue with the series and look forward to the next book.

This one definitely moved more quickly than the last one. It really didn't feel like the tension let up from start to finish, and once again, the end left me wanting more and wanting to know what would happen next. I continue to enjoy Claire as the main character and like seeing how she's growing up. I will definitely be continuing the series!

I'm enjoying this series so I don't know why it's taking me so long to read each book. :-)
Finally we are getting somewhere with Merit and Ethan, and then he does something stupid. I love a strong couple so I hope this gets figured out soon. I'm not sure how I feel about the Red Guard but nothing has been decided on that front anyway so I guess we'll see. More is happening with the shapeshifters and with the cryptic prophesy of sorts I see them all getting a bit closer. Now I'm itching to read the next book so i better make it happen soon!

The fake relationship angle is not my favorite trope but I enjoyed this take on it. Sebastian and Tessa were entertaining characters and I liked that they did not fall in love right away. The other books in the series had instalove so I liked watching their potential relationship grow as they got to know each other better. Sebastian's estranged wife, Evangeline, was annoying though. This is a fun series and I look forward to the next installment.

When I realized JR Ward had written a book about firefighters, I got really excited because I've for some reason become obsessed with firefighter shows like Chicago Fire. I love BDB, so I thought this would be a slam dunk for me to enjoy. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way. I thought the beginning was very strong, and it drew me in right away. But I never really warmed up to Anne as the heroine. She just never seemed very likeable, and I couldn't really figure out what Danny saw in her. The pacing of the book was also weird. Chapters would just leave you hanging, and then, the next chapter would be in a completely different setting days later, and you're left wondering what the heck happened. There was a surprise towards the end that I didn't see coming, which was nice. I haven't quite decided yet if I'll continue this series (if more books are indeed coming).

The world of the Immortal Guardians is interesting and this one is action-packed throughout. I liked Sarah and Roland and they were great together. The secondary characters were intriguing, particularly Seth and the mystery woman. I plan to continue with the series and I hope their stories will be in future books.

I admit I was lost for a lot of this book. I'm a bit bummed because I really enjoyed the first 2 books. As with the other books, there are multiple storylines that all come together at the end and it also clicked the whole trilogy together. It was definitely interesting and out-of-the-box.
I'm glad I listened to the audiobooks for this series because if I had to try to pronounce all these word I would of given up on book 1. :-)
