Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
2a ~ Create a master list in a post (preferably on the first page of your team's thread) and update it weekly or as often as necessary
2b ~ Post your team's stats on the Captain's Log prior to requesting a stamp
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)

5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Unfortunately I can’t be captain because all I have is a tablet and I’ve not been able to figure out how to post links using it. I’m also bad at team names and can’t think of anything using 16 except for the trite sweet 16 thing, and I’m not always sweet in my reviews 😀

Hey everyone else! I’m super excited to play. Im bowing out of captain because I’m in a really rigorous grad program and can’t imagine keeping anyone else organized. Sometimes I won’t engage as much and other times I will a lot but I’ll always be reading!

I like the name suggestions, maybe my favorite is Raiders of the Lost Book but I like the others, too.

Shelf #1 Angels

Angel of Chaos by Debra Dunbar
Read: 9/19/2019
Rating: ***
A three star book for me is a good, solid read. I was actually relieved that this series got back to the three star level because the last book I read was in the spin-off Imp World series and it wasn’t even good. But here our imp, Sam, is back and back to her old part demon, part angel ways. Not much really happens, but the characters are fun and I’m pretty caught up in how Sam is evolving. I will be continuing with the series but maybe not being obsessive about reading all the spin offs.

REVIEW:
So I really enjoyed the 1st story in this series and was looking forward to reading this one. I loved seeing Cassius trying to navigate being human. I didn't really feel a strong connection between Cassius and Stephanie but enjoyed the story nonetheless. Stephanie at times really irritated me by her being so naive and not thinking about the consequences of her actions. I get that she was kept in the dark about some things but she just irked me.
This was a good read and I can't wait to see what happens next in the Dark Ones series.

What a great return to this series. I feel like it's been a while since I've read a Guild Hunter novel and to be honest, I've not been overly impressed with the last few installments even though the heroes were HIGHLY anticipated main characters. Nalini Singh is very poetic in her writing for this series. There are a few passages that does not outright say whatever instead it's heavily poetic, heavily metaphoric so sometimes I could get lost in that sauce and I'd have to read again to make sure I understood what she was trying to say.
I loved Elena and Raphael together and apart. I loved getting glimpses of other side characters. The story progressed really well and I was super interested in seeing where it ended. It ended with a bit of a cliff but overall a great story that I can't wait to continue with the next installment.

I finished Archangel's War and loved it but I’m going to wait til tomorrow to write my review.

Shelf #2 Vampires

Archangel's War by Nalini Singh
Read: 9/28/2019
Rating: ****
I blew right through chore time and lunch time reading the last part of this book—the battle scenes are very exciting. Many series bog down when they get this far along but this lived up to all my expectations. The first part is a little slow as things get put back together after the cliffhanger ending in Prophecy. But then I got involved again with the whole cast of characters and then the action really kicked in. Some of the language in the love scenes gets maybe overly flowery and poetic but Elena and Raphael are such a strong couple. Singh continues to be one of my favorite authors and although the Cascade arc was wrapped up I hope we’ll get more archangel books.

How it fits: on SOS group bookshelf
This is a pretty straightforward urban fantasy and a solid beginning to a series I plan to continue. It’s kind of a cross between paranormal and a police procedural mystery. Kara, the main character, is a police detective who can summon demons. One of her summonings goes wrong and a Demonic Lord comes through. Instead of tearing her to pieces, he seduces her and I thought Kara used stunningly bad judgement in instantly going along with it. I’m pretty sure if a supernaturally attractive Demonic Lord came on to me I could resist 😀. I’d at least hold out for a nice dinner.
The mystery was intriguing and the cast of characters was pretty good. Rowland was a policewoman and a crime scene technician and her interest and knowledge comes across. She gave a little too much detail on the autopsy for my taste but otherwise her realistic touches added to the novel.

SO MUCH HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK!
This book is definitely a turning point in the series. Our original villain has returned for an epic battle to the bitter end against our favorite angel and angel made duo. I really loved Elena and Raphael in this one. To be honest, for a while - they as a couple were not bringing me back to this series. I loved the world that was created and I found them okay as a couple but I think the last three books featuring them really sealed the deal for me.
There were so many things I was reminded of in this book. This series has been happening for such a long time that there are lots of details to forget. But we glimpse all our favorite characters, we see so many arcs being created. (view spoiler)
So excited for the next adventure.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I love this series. It's a lot of fun and Ilona and Gordan always let their imaginations fly with the difference outer space species. I love the Holy Anachrocy. They are super interesting and Maud is awesome. This book was definitely more her book and less about her and Arlan. I guess as a reader of this series, you get some of the her and Arlan deal in earlier books and also get to see some glimpses of past experiences. Ultimately this was a Maud and Helen story and I loved it. Helen was adorable and deadly (haha!) and Maud is so smart. Man Ilona and Gordon write super intelligent and kickass heroines. I'm always going to be a fan.

Y..."
Nice! I really like that series because it has so many different supernaturals. My favorite is book 4 - Oracle Moon.

I also loved the Elder races series, Lekeisha and I agree that Oracle Moon was one of the best. I wish I could find another series I like as much as that. I’m looking for a new paranormal romance series and can’t find anything that suits me. I think I’ve read most of the biggest series and now both Lords of the Underworld and Midnight Breed haven’t done it for me. I didn’t think the female MCs in either of those series are very strong.
