"...she thought of him as she masturbated with her carrot vibrator."
Want more? Too bad. that was the best line. And, it wasn't funny enough to spew lunch across my monitor. Oh well. Worth trying anyway.
Not a beet vibe?! Lucky there Jenny - you could eat your root veg lunch with no sexual overtones!

Let's hope Tower Teams doesn't bring my reading mojo back TOO much because I don't want to throw off my estimated reading/accuracy and get us penalized! :P

Don't worry, if you end up reading bunches, I have estimated to read books to spare. I can switch some shorter books for longer books, and we will be golden!
I just bought a pile of books from my lovely little local bookstore on Tuesday, and then I get an alert today that Philip Pullman's new book came out today. On a Thursday. But why? Books don't get released on Thursdays. Harrumph.

Oh good, now I'm one more book behind on reading any of the Dark Materials. LOL

Yes... but I don't have HBO! LOL

I need to catch up on them too. I bought the first three on Kindle Deals last year... but who has the time to read every single one of the 800+ books we buy on deals every year? LOL
I didn't particularly enjoy His Dark Materials when I read the series. Loved The Night Circus though.
The nice thing about ebook deals is they don't sit in piles around your office judging you for not reading them. Plus they don't take up space in your house. LOL

But again so are my physical shelves... Second-hand bookstores are my undoing... Why am I doing this to myself?

I've heard so much praise for the Night Circus at this point that I'm afraid to start it...

Valid point Judith, though I do SEE all the kindle books waiting for me and feel guilt LOL

My house however has bookcases everywhere storing over 2000 books, only about 60% of which I have actually read so far... *sigh*
The book I just started would have been a fitting one for team Lust, as it kicks off with a 100 person orgy! Darned pesky Satyrs! :)

Of course, it only makes a small dent in the unread pile of books, but it is a good start.

Oh, my invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. *sigh*

I’d like the title of this 👀 for science of course
Also hello from team Pride!

BTW, please tell me a discovery of witches is not going to be canceled because the series ends in a terrible cliffhanger and I haven't read the books either, so I am terribly annoyed.

I really want to try Jacqueline Carey's books. I've hear amazing things about her Kushiel's series. But these are so big it's scary. Have you read them? Or any other of Carey's books? Where do you think I should start?

I might have to read the books to know how it ends... Its trailer was the reason I got HBO.
(That and because I might be the only soul around that hasn't watched GoT)

I so want to see the next season as well.
Have you guys noticed that the series looks really flat though? It's as if they used really cheap cameras or something. For scenery and a cast that should appear lush and gorgeous, it is just a bit dull.

I loved the Kushiel books - Phèdre's Trilogy. I read them years ago and have been wanting to reread. I have a few chunky books on my list to read during TT - maybe will add a few more :)
I read the first couple in the Hel series, and they were ok as well - just a very different tone from the Kushiel books.

I might grab my old paperback and add it to the list...

I've read both Kushiel series, and the related Namaah series too, and absolutely adore them, The original trilogy I tend to re-read every couple of years.
This agent of Hel series is an urban fantasy, and the books are much smaller. Still enjoyable, but not as rich and intricate as the others :)
And Sonia, I haven’t watch a single episode of GoT. So you aren’t the only one. But we may be the only 2 🤷🏼♀️

I'm on the same both with you. I haven't seen it yet too, but maybe someday...after reading books.

I shocked one of my coworkers during our English classes because apparently, I was expected to watch it.
Just because I like vampires and werewolves... Ts Ts... Hey I like smutt vampires and werewolves and I gave up on True Blood. Not even all the sex was able to hook me up.

I never got to see it in theaters (seeing as how I was 1 year old when it came out). But now I will. Sunday plans made.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Clue? AWESOME! :D

I'd definitely be reading them if I hadn't done so already this year, lol.
