That is in caps to draw your attention, lol, I am not shouting. This was a question asked and it's answer. This is very important to us when looking for animals.
Q: If we're looking for the animal in the text, do we need to match the wording exactly or just find the correct animal?
Examples:
Orca instead of killer whale
Hammerhead instead of hammerhead shark
Black widow instead of black widow spider
A: the wording exactly* please
*spaces/hyphens/plurals/possessives excepted.
ie: honey bees, honeybee, honey-bee all OK
bee (or indeed honey) not OK
Shelby, make sure your Hammerhead Shark (if not on cover or in title) says Hammerhead Shark in the text.

Hey Jan, re: message #453 and that this cover has a bee on it I am pretty sure it would be ok BUT if you read it can you pay attention for text that says honey bee in case we are challenged. Thanks!

No problem, I did a search of quotes from the book and saw that honey bee is used multiple times :)

figured, perfect!

agreed, I think we will be ok for the mini-challenge.

This book

I am finishing 2 books soon, so we will meet the minimum :D. Thanks for asking, much appreciated.

I know horses are easy to find. I just came upon a part in my book For Killing Of Kings when they see a hawk and a doe in woods. So we can switch it for one of those if anyone has some other book with horses 🙂

That is awesome!! Great find!! :D

Surprisingly hawk is not on our list. Falcons are but they are different from hawks.
You can use the deer or horse if you prefer. :D But thanks for being flexible in case someone needs to switch it up :D

Sounds good to me!

We ended week 2 with an impressive 37 books read!
Total Points Standing: 3375
Place In Challenge: #12
For week 3 your books can either count for the mini-challenge or the Sin criteria. Have fun reading! :D

I agree, that does look interesting! Is that what the movie The Meg is based on?

Awesome of both counts!! Thanks for all the extra points this week :D

I think so, the audiobook looked like a movie poster. I've never seen it or even heard of it. Have you seen the movie?

YES!! lol it's stupid but I really liked it a lot. I've actually seen it a few times.

No problem Minx. Yes, this book is very flexible. Characters travel a lot and there are a lot of wild animals spotted. I am highlighting mentions, and in the end, I will check and write down all that are on the list, and you can pick what suits you best.

I agree, that does..."
It looks pretty stupid with the ridiculous font on the cover lol, can't wait to read it!

I can tell you that there is no T-Rex in the movie :D I love ridiculous books.

I didn't even notice he was eating a T rex on the cover until you said that!! I might have to watch the movie after I read it, I watch exactly 0 movies ever but I like shark stuff

I feel like I'm a little confused so I guess I'll just report it and hope I did it correctly. And I'm correct in thinking that it'd get more points for the challenge than for YA?

you could have counted the jaguar on the cover but using the text was fine :D.
If the animal is on the cover, in the title (ie: Dogs of War) or in the text it all counts. The animal in text though must be an actual animal not a simile or metaphor of sorts.
You did report it correctly the book and yes it gets more points as the animal than it would have as YA. :D Good job!

Thank you!!

No worries if there are no animals, we can still use the book for the sin challenge :D

Kinga is on a college tour with her son.
