okay, just do what you can :) Hope you had a great time with your friends. :D

Yes, its just this week :D

This week's mini-challenge is going to be a spell-it-out challenge and I have already come up with 37 word combinations, 2 of which are 7 letter words and 1 is an 8 letter word for the BONUS!! Whooot whooot!! Took me forever to find them WHICH is why we are not going to reveal the words, lol. We decided not to give the other teams an edge and we are going to play this challenge close to the chest.
A spreadsheet has been made called ENVY MINI and that has the letters we are looking to fill and you can just claim a letter for this challenge. Since we are focusing on 22 letters they will be listed first as our primary target. We usually read more than 22 books, so there will be additional letters to make more words as well but please focus on the initial 22.
Here are the spell it out rules:
One letter = One Book. You can use the first letter in titles, series names, authors (first or last names) that correspond to the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.)
Thank you for being great team members! We are halfway through the challenge thus far and we appreciate all that you have done and read to meet these challenges each week!! GO TEAM VORACITY!! :D

This looks like a fun one too! I can't believe the challenge is halfway over already, its going so fast!

Ok I finished Wilder Girls just in time and am about to go answer the last 2 days of questions. Can someone remind me how I link that here for the captains to see?

on the BOM spreadsheet you just enter the comment number then add the link :D.

Jan, you entered the book perfectly on the BOM SS, I added the book for you on the reporting thread, so you don't have to worry about it. :D

Hey Mama, I saw that the books you were going to finish were for Rich and King, so I grabbed a short lobster book to cover that word :D. Thanks for the books you are reading because they are high page counts :D

It doesn't work for those words BUT it does work for cake which was one of my words. So let's put that book for cake and I will look for another word :D
Pg 22: ….”scraping the last of his birthday cake off a plate while Mom….”

I randomly came across oyster in a book I had to read today for another challenge so we've got that one covered. ;)
Also key to note with spell outs that Minx left of the list - Character names work too. :)

I didn't include them on the list because the spell it out rules indicated that some of the challenges included the character names and I hadn't heard in the chatter that they were or weren't being used for this spell it out, so I opted for not including them until I heard otherwise :D

aaaaand I finished :D at least something this week, lol. can't believe that trip and concert put me into a bit of a reading slump; all I wanted to do was listen to music...

How was the BOM. Just started and it seems alright so far.

It was quite alright I'd say. Some things were kind of predictable, or I at least had considered them before, but I hadn't figured out who did the things, you know? and it was so quick to get through!!! on audio anyway, but wow I couldn't stop!!

TEAM! I'm so sorry! I didn't finish any books this week. I will get @least 3 done next week tho. Again, I'm so sorry!!

Mama, I moved 2 books around to cover yours, so no worries.
Please look at the Envy tab on the SS and see where those books might fit for next weeks mini-challenge.

I am sorry. I sometimes like to think about my ratings as well. For this challenge they require the rating though.

44 books read this week AND we completed 9 Bingo lines! So phenomenal. Love it!

It is official, when you are looking for books for the ENVY mini-challenge you can use any speaking characters, first or last name.
So to re-cap:
- One letter = One Book.
- The first letter in titles
- series names
- authors (first or last names)
- You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.)
- any speaking characters first or last name.

I'm not interested in this book at all so I hope someone else will sign up for DQs this time around ;)

I just read this one a few weeks ago so I won't be able to do this BOM either

Wow that's a lot!!!!

GLUTTONY
Here is the MOST IMPORTANT part:
However, they need to be finished consecutively. #3 cannot be finished before #1, and #10 cannot be finished before #6. You may skip numbers on your way up, but you cannot read for a number that is lower than the one that has been read previously. The ladder only goes up, not down.
When you check out the spreadsheet you will see the open spots between the books that Shelby and I had planned on reading. Just claim a spot as long as you realize that the other teammates on the ladder require you to finish your book before they can finish theirs. We don’t want to lose any books on the ladder because a book didn’t get finished in time.
This is a biggie:
◈ It needs to be clearly visible on GoodReads which # in the series the book is.
Now for the mood readers on the team, if you don’t feel like reading a serial book, don’t. Between Shelby and I we have a pretty good ladder. You can read whatever you feel like and just enter it under the Sin Bingo books. If, however, you have a book that is a serial and you want to read, claim away.
IF YOU HAVE a book that you have to read, for example an ARC you have committed to and it is a serial # that has been claimed - please let us know and we will accommodate the need :D
Every book in the ladder is worth 5 points, so if your book works for a Sin Bingo, use it there please. Any questions, please let us know :D
The Spreadsheet for Gluttony is on the SS its basic right now because I am literally running out the door to an appointment but I will make it pretty later. You can make any claims you like now though.

For every 3 books read in order (example 1, 2, 3) we will get 15 points (5 points each) plus an addition 10 points. So for every 3 "rungs" we are getting 25 points.

Again, if you don't want to read a serial book, just read for the Sin books :D
