If you finish the book on the weekend please just have it reported on the Spreadsheet so that it will count for that week. There will be a weekly countdown for books read for that week and once the countdown ends for that week we have to make sure that all finished books are also reported.

If the book was finished this week but not reported it won't count for next week.

A good rule for these weekly reportings is to have all books you want to count for the current week read and reported by Sunday Noon, your time.

I'll finish PoA tonight already (or tomorrow morning if I fall asleep) since I only have about 20 mins left!!! And while I haven't bought a book yet I've been to the library here and almost read 90 pages of the first Miss Peregrine's :D

I had a SUPER productive day today but things are going back to being busy tomorrow. I've finished my requirements for the week and then some, tho! So I can get started with some ones for next week since it will also be super busy :P

Great job, did you like the book? I am reading only the required pages per day so I won't be done until Saturday but so far (I'm on chapter 23, almost done with today's reading) I am thinking that very little has actually happened.

Also, with BOM's keep track of your message #'s so that you can report those.

Hii guys - have been sick all week witn a cold bht trying to finish book. Have not felt like reading but I finished 2 other challenges so will be able to focus more on here.

It's so weird because if I was thinking about just the story, I'm not super impressed by it, but the audiobook is so good and the narrator is so perfect for it, that I'm really enjoying it. I'm on Chap 32, its slowed down a little bit lately, but I actually do like it! I also think it hilarious, but I have a weird sense of humor that I think is pretty similar to this authors.

I love the banter and Gideon's snarkiness. If that wasn't present I think I'd be bashing my head out of sheer boredom. I finished the DQ's for today and I am liking that the story seems to be finally picking up.

Oh believe me, I totally did! My brain turned into mush and so did my whole body. I was shaking like crazy and had no control over what I was saying (I hardly even remember what I said) or my face when we took a photo together lol. Such. A. Mess! And then I didn't even remember which way I was headed omg XD

At an author signing event, I did too. I think I scared people. Especially the model Stuart Reardon. Totally nothing but word vomit! ROFLMAO!

my most embarassing moment ever actually was when I first met Tatiana Maslany (she played all the female clones in Orphan Black)! I couldn't even sPEAK, it was horrible 😂

oh she also narrated the 10th anniversary edition of The Hunger Games audiobooks which are so much better than the original ones!

I didn't even buy one book on my trip btw! I don't know if I'm proud or disappointed. just- the airport was a bit of a let-down book-wise....

on a brighter note though, please help me decide which audiobook I should start next? or - both of them should work for coloured covers (not necessarily the editions I linked) :)

one more thing before I finally go to bed - can we please please please start transferring our finished books to our official team sheet? I wanna know how we compare to the other teams! :D

Hmm, I think I'd go with Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.

On the spreadsheet, there were some glitches, so I personally was waiting for them to be worked out. Also, i think Shelby wants to enter them in. What I can tell you is that we have:

Points: 818

we are 1 point behind team Wrath in 5th position BUT other teams have not reported in yet.

I have an entire day off tomorrow. My only one this week and I've been eagerly anticipating it. I plan to start moving our completed books over to the spreadsheet tomorrow. :)

Hope to finish my 1 book tomorrow. Week 2 should be better. Still sick with Cold.

I'm behind as well. STILL Trying to finish my 1st book. I may be a book short this week. Will that be a problem? Does someone have an additional book to claim?

Nevermind I found the sheet to report the BOM!

I'm going to switch up my books for the week a bit. I'm having trouble getting into longer stories so I'm opting for two shorter books instead and will jump into longer books next week!

I'll be able to get 5 books done this week and might even have a 6th done by midday Sunday. I'll check the numbers though and will hold off if we're at our limit.

Has anyone started reading Wilder Girls? I think I'm going to start it next week

Week One Update

Week 2 Countdown Timer

-Week one books need to be read before this countdown ends. Just a reminder If you finished reading a book this week BUT did not enter it before this countdown ends they will not count for week 2.

-With the BOMs just give us the message #'s and I will link that. I wanted to share this regarding the BOM's:

◈ Q: What does it mean "Participating in a BOM" ? Answering one set or one comment? Or do we need to answer all days to get the points? Or do we get points for each set of questions answered?

A: Provided you add to the discussion at some stage through the book. It doesn't need to be answering a set of questions if that doesn't appeal to you. You may just pop over and give some thoughts at different stages. It is just one set of points per book.

However you do need to interact with others in the BOM thread for it to be considered “participation”. The rule of thumb is three sets of questions.

**Answering the DQ's count as participation**

-We are at 18 books read at this point, so everyone keep reading and I will give updates as we come to a close for this week. THANK YOU to everyone for reading what you could. Lets keep up the good work and finish up those books!

I haven't started reading it yet. I am going to leave that one for week 2 :D

I'm going to probably walk down to the library and pick up Gideon today. It's only a 7 day check out so I didn't grab it when I was there last time though I did pick up Wilder Girls. Hopefully it's still sitting on the shelf and I won't have to put it on reserve. :)

Hello All! Just a quick update and a quick to do item:

We are currently at 21 books read and rising which is a good number, yah!

A little housekeeping note: As we come to a close on Week One please make sure that all the books you have read are on your Towers shelf BUT make sure that the only books in your folder are the ones you have read or are currently reading.

Books you intend to read or planned read should not be in this folder until they are either being "currently read" or are "read"

The mods don't want to have to scroll through a bunch of books to find your read books. So, please check your Towers folder and make sure we are compliant. I appreciate your help in this so that we don't get on the mods bad side, lol, they are feisty this challenge.

Finished. Hope I updated ss correctly and in right place.

I added a book on SS also. Will try to finish my 2nd book, Lover Revealed, b4 noon on Sunday. If not, I will post 3 books next week.

The tab with your name is for planning only, the tab with the reporting thread is what Shelby takes the info from.

so I started this version of The Arrangement (it's the audiobook so the cover is smaller than it would be for a physical or ebook) last night - would you say it works for a red cover? it looks red on my phone!

Didn't get picked for DQs for Wilder Girls, but I did get picked for the backroom BOM one!

And just to let you know, I won't finish another book this week.

So we need to get through another 5 books to be in our safe range as of right now. I'll double check when I get home tonight and post another update. We've got about another 28hrs to read.

I will be home and updating tomorrow right up until the last minute, but I'd prefer at least a 30min window for books posted. So if you don't think you can finish your book before that window elapses save it over for next week. ;)

I should be able to finish at least one more, possibly two before time is called.

I am hoping we meet our minimum and it would be awesome is Kringa jumped in with several books :D.

When her books are entered make sure you use her first and last name. The names have to match for the SS to count them, didn't know if you had seen it.

When you posting the final books let the team know that they have X amount of time to finish their books otherwise to save them for next week. To give them a heads up.

Alright guys - I've got all of the books currently reported added to the spreadsheet. :) We've hit our minimum which is great, but any additional points for this week would be awesome as well. We've got plenty of space in our window if anyone finishes anything in the next couple hours. I'll check back in about 2 1/2 hrs to see where we're sitting and add anymore books to the spreadsheet.

I'm trying to add a book for the "Greed" criteria but it tells me that it's invalid as it must be something on the list, am I missing something?

Sophie it would be Avarice. I know the mods listed Greed in some places but they meant avarice and want us to use Avarice.

Also its Vanity instead of Pride.

I changed it on the spreadsheet. :D

Edit: That cover looks brown to me so I am going to change it to wrath for cover color.
