nice :) I was 5 books ahead of my goal of 144 this year but I fell back to 2 books ahead. I hope that I'll jump ahead once again with this challenge. :)

Kerry-anne, I LOVE Karin Slaughter's Grant County series! Have you read any Chelsea Cain?! I love serial killer murder mysteries...

I have one chunkster that I have 200 pages left and I'm waiting until 11/8...since it is finish date that counts. I'm anxious to finish it...

I just finished book 2 of Grant County, and really like the series (even though it's so...ucky....). If you guys do any buddy reads with serial killer books, I'm more than likely in, too!

I've read the second Grant County book and really liked it, even though there was a lot of yuckiness.
I also have a liking for serial killer books :).

You've read I Hunt Killers, right? How did you like it?

I'm another fan of the Grant County/Will Trent series'!

I read the first two Chelsea Cain books and couldn't stand how unhealthy the relationship between Archie and Gretchen is so I had to quit. Maybe I'll pick them up another time, when I'm in the mood for a mind-screw or something.

Have you read Cop Town yet, Muffin?
I love Karin Slaughter's writing. I've been thinking of reading either the Grant County or Will Trent series in a few months.

I read and loved Cop Town. I read it too far back to participate in the DQ for the BoM last month, though. I'd forgotten a lot or couldn't answer some questions as authentically as I'd have liked, since I knew the entire story by the time those questions were asked.

I highly recommend Grant County, then Trent. You could get away with the first two Trent books before you read the final Grant book but if you go further without finishing Grant, a very important event from Grant will be ruined for you!

The first couple of Grant books are a bit icky (as has been mentioned) but power through them. Her writing is something special, to me. Her characters are flawed and human and I find that utterly refreshing. (I don't mean the bad guys, though! Never the bad guys. They are the disgusting kind of flawed).

That's my plan, too. I have so many series that I need to finish up this round. Then I get to start more. It's a never-ending cycle.
