Nothing But Reading Challenges discussion

I think this is going to be a great reading week for me because tomorrow is school but then the rest of the week is off because of Thanksgiving. I want to read as many books as possible this week. :)

I just checked the Buddy reads/...and saw Atonement starts 1 Jan....I will try to do that one as well!:)

I'm reading and listening to The Eye of the World as part of a BR. The story so far is a very enjoyable fantasy but it'll take me some time to finish since it is a huge book (around 800 pages in my edition).
To "compensate" I read a short book, with around 140 pages to have some points this week.

How are your readings? And good story?

Juliana - I'm really enjoying that series as well. Have read up to book 7 or 8 and it keeps getting better. Problem is that all the books are epic in length.

I'm having trouble choosing what to read next. Lacking inspiration... sure I'll get there soon.

I'm so jealous of all you people who get time off for Thanksgiving! We don't celebrate it in the UK so it's just normal old life here until closer to Christmas.

(Specifically Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie)

And my guess for your question is probably like any ordinary book, where you click the book title and then it would say how many pages are in it or you could check the amazon pages for it.

@Apporv - Woo! You are definitely not a slacker ;)

@Lilac - The page count for Little House in the Big Woods says it is 198 pages. And for Little House on the Prairie says it is 335 pages, for the edition you posted, each edition is different.

@Trinity, I know!! You signed for a lot of BR, rsrsrss. Did you still participating on the Throne of Glass BR too?

@Lilac, both of these children books have more than 25,000 words so they can be used in the challenge for sure. Looking for their word count I think that the number of pages indicated on the Goodreads pages are a valid number (the number Trinity checked for us), but I'll check with the mods and return to you as soon as I get a response from them.

@ Sophie. I am totally blaming you that I have not gotten my housework done this week as you reminded me of the Peter Grant series. Lol.
Normally with an audiobook I have to do things while I am listening or I fall asleep. But I have just been sitting listening in order to finish it. I think I should have stuck with the Kindle, I could have finished it a lot faster.

@Lilac, the mods said that you can use the page counts of the edition/version you are reading. :)

covers: Christmas tree, snow storm, santa, elves, sleigh, skaters, skiiers, sled dogs...



or....how about books that take place in a country where you would like to visit.....like if you live in France, and woud like to visit India, or China, or US...



or books that have royalty....
