Jessney entered the library with a particular book in mind. She had forgotten it back at home, and sent a letter to her grandparents requesting that they send it to her. She doubted they would do that, so she started searching the shelves.
Talia stood up. "How may I help you?"
The school librarian, Ms. Lovelace, entered.
The school librarian, Ms. Lovelace, entered.
"I'm looking for a book. Dorothy Must Die? Do you have it here?" Jessney asked, staring at the girl who had just stood up.
Talia smiled, rummaging through a large pile marked return. "Your I.D.?" she asked.
"I.D? Do you mean my name? I don't have a library card yet." Jessney asked, tugging at the blue streak in her hair. That had recently become a habit.
"Oh. Um," Talia glanced at Ms. Lovelace, "Wr can reserve it until you have a card printed for you. It's basically your student credit card."
"Okay. Where can I have a card printed." Jessney asked. She didn't mind if she started making Talia uncomfortable.
"Here. Ms. Lovelace will do it." Talia scurried off to shelve books.
"Yes?" Margaret inquired, tapping her nails on the counter.
"Yes?" Margaret inquired, tapping her nails on the counter.
"Can you print me an I.D?" Jessney asked the librarian. Just to be annoying, she tapped her nails on the counter just like Ms. Lovelace did.
"Say please." Margaret said and turned around. "Jessica Marin, correct?"
"Can you print me an I.D, please. My full name is Jessica Britney Marin Hollis. What's yours?" Jessney said.
"You can call me Ms. Lovelace." she snipped, handing her a fresh I.d. She scanned her book and handed her a bookmark.
"Thank you." Jessney said, taking the I.D, book, and bookmark. She walked away from the desk, sat down, and started to read. Jessney was starting to dislike Ms. Lovelace.
Ms. Lovelace walked back into her office and started going through the damaged books, beginning to repair them. Talia walked over to Jessney. "You still need a dorm, right?"
"Yes, actually, I do. Are you in charge of dorms?" Jessney asked. She put in the bookmark and looked up at Talia.
"I could notify Evangeline Vanderbilt- she's the Student Council Prez, so she does that. We have two to four people per dorm, and no co-ed rooms. Each dorm is four rooms- a living, sleeping, and studying, area. You share bathrooms with your house.
"I've heard a lot about Evangeline. But I haven't met her. Isn't she a princess or something?" Jessney asked. She read everything that she could get her hands on, including the Gossip Column.
Talia nodded, "But that's all I know. We don't run in the same circles. "
"Okay. What's your favorite book?" Jessney asked.
Talia brightened. "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for sure! I looove fantasy!"
"I haven't read that book, but it sounds really good. I like parodies of classic books...like this." Jessney held up Dorothy Must Die.
"Ooh, I loved that book!" Talia grinned, shelving more.
"Me too! I can't wait for the sequel." Jessney said.
Talia checked het watch,"It looks like my shift is over. Would you like to grab a croissant with me?"
"No, too mainstream. How about that small french cafe around the corner? "
Talia grabbed her bag and signed out.
Cordelia entered the library, figuring that she should at least study a little, even though there weren't many classes.
Margaret rose. "I.D.?" she asked. "All the students seem to need one."

Cordelia flinched. She always hated it when people surprised her like that. "Yeah, I need an I.D." she said.
Margaret took a quick pic and gave her her new I.d
"Thanks" Cordelia said, taking the I.D
Margaret smiled. "Do you have any questions for my aide, Talia?" Talia gave quick wave from the corner.
"Okay, can you answer this? Why is shirt?" Cordelia asked.

"Hey there." Cordelia said to the guy who had just entered. "I'm Cordelia. Who are you?"

Cordelia blinked. She had only been prepared to hear his name. "Um, yeah. You go to that librarian right there."

"Wow. Why doesn't your cousin let you say scholarship?" Cordelia asked.
Cordelia giggled. "It's just a word, jeez."

"Do you have conversations in private where you just say scholarship over and over again?" Cordelia teased.

"So you've been to Vanderbilt before?"
