I started last spring :D

message 502: by Pamela (new)

Pamela I started like last summer but had to drop it for a while. I got addicted!

message 503: by [deleted user] (new)

lol I'm not that addicted

message 504: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Lucky you, the thing is me and my friends get competitive about who wins hehe. Have anyone heard the spin about the blue black dress, am seeing it blue and black apparently some see it gold and white. How are you guys seeing it.

message 505: by [deleted user] (new)

Blue and black!

message 506: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Woohoo some said the real colour is white and gold.

message 507: by [deleted user] (new)

huh?!

message 508: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Well it could mean we are colour blind. Take a deep look at the dress again, I did that and I thought I saw gold but the blue remained blue to me.

message 509: by Pamela (new)

Pamela I got the answer if your eyes can work better in dim light you see it properly. If not you see white and gold.

Nah I doubt it

message 511: by Pamela (new)

Pamela That's good to actually know. Imagine wearing black and pink only to realise you were wearing orange and yellow the whole time, or maybe everybody's is colour blind and nature is white. This thing is driving me crazy I'll just go read a book.

message 512: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol

message 513: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, it depends on depth preception/light, on the Tumblr dress. At first I saw navy and a dark yellow, but then I saw white and gold.

message 514: by marthie ! (new)

marthie ! (marthie) | 1026 comments I normally see it white and gold, but if I change the brightness, it turns to black and blue.

message 515: by [deleted user] (new)

Exactly!

message 516: by [deleted user] (new)

It ugly as blue/dark yellow for me, but gorgeous as white/gold.

avery ♞ do something revolutionary (averyreadsbooks) | 154 comments On the news this morning, I saw it as white and gold, but when a friend showed it to me on her phone in gym, I saw it as blue and black.

message 518: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah! This guy showed me-blue, my friend in English- white.

message 519: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 27, 2015 11:51PM) (new)

lol the dress. we argued so much about that thing in my art class and it was pretty funny.
im only replying for the first time but here's the explanation:

the real dress is actually blue/black (company confirmed this, but they're going to sell the white/gold dress in a couple months). it can look gold/white mostly depending on the cones and rods (color receptors for color and black/white) in your eye, but theres some other small factors too like brightness.
both of them are technically right with it being realistically black/blue but photograph-wise it looks as white/gold. the photograph probably had weird lighting or flash that made it look like the lighter colors.

EDIT: here's the dress directly from the website.

message 520: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh cool I always see it as blue/black lol

message 521: by [deleted user] (new)

I can't view the spoiler, but I bet it's hi-lar-ious!

message 524: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Am starting to hate that dress. It's like some kind of physics test or something.

message 525: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup! Alex, that's basically what I qas lecturing at school. All. Day.

message 526: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Hey everyone.

message 528: by Kitsune (new)

Kitsune Rose (kitsunerose) Hello, I am obviously new to this group and, although I noticed that there are a lot of members and a lot of roleplaying has already transpired, I was wondering if it were possible for me to fit in a new character at this point? Maybe as a new transfer student or something. I don't have a great grasp of this group yet but I understand that you should come from old money and always personify that. Is there anything else I should be aware of? Please let me know if a new character wouldn't really be able to fit in anywhere, it won't hurt my feelings. Danke schön!

message 529: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Hello! A new student will fit right in, it's simple make a character. An event in going on now join in and bam! You've been announced that's all. Request for a dorm and if your character is interested in any of Vanderbilt group join in. Your character must have at least a talent and could be scholarship or not. That's all it takes, welcome to Vanderbilt.

message 530: by Kitsune (new)

Kitsune Rose (kitsunerose) Thank you :) Should I pretend my character has been a student at this school for a while of treat him/her as if he's just transferred?

message 531: by Pamela (new)

Pamela It's your choice, though I think it's easier to say your character just transferred.

message 532: by [deleted user] (new)

Since this isn't an actual school, your character can be whatever.

message 533: by Kitsune (new)

Kitsune Rose (kitsunerose) What do you mean this isn't an actual school?

message 534: by [deleted user] (new)

I mean like, it's an RP. :)

message 535: by Kitsune (new)

Kitsune Rose (kitsunerose) Oh, haha, yeah, obviously XD I thought you meant something like the roleplay isn't about a school type of thing.

message 536: by Kitsune (new)

Kitsune Rose (kitsunerose) After looking into this roleplay a little more, I've decided this isn't the right place for me but thanks anyway :)

message 537: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay LB! Thanks for telling us! :)

message 541: by ☢Bionic☢ (new)

☢Bionic☢ (incredibleadia) how do Brookhaven characters work

message 542: by [deleted user] (new)

You create them, and use them against Vanderbilt characters for competitins and pranks.

message 543: by Jazzy (new)

Jazzy (thecuriousreader) Hi! I don't know if any one will see this but I'm new. My name is Jazzy :)

message 544: by [deleted user] (new)

Welcome Jazzy! I'm Angel!

message 545: by Jazzy (new)

Jazzy (thecuriousreader) Hi Angel :) So I have a quick question while I'm creating my character. With the appearance do I have to make sure the actress is not taken in face claim first?

message 546: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes! If it's in the list or comments below, it's a no-go.

message 547: by Jazzy (new)

Jazzy (thecuriousreader) Okay I posted who I wanted in face claim and she isn't taken so yay!

message 548: by Pamela (new)

Pamela Nice choice

message 549: by Jazzy (new)
