Hello, I can see a few familiar faces here, mind if I join? I enjoy all kinds of well written books, especially history. My main interests are WW1 and WW2, followed by space exploration and motor-racing history, although I'm interested in lots of other subjects/periods and have been trying to branch out a little recently.

Hello! This looks like a great group. I enjoy all sorts of history, but World War 2, The American Civil War, auto racing history and medieval English history are my favorites.

Over 1000 pages but so far its been pretty good and quite engaging.

I'm reading (for the second time) With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene B. Sledge and listening to Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy: Four Women Undercover in the Civil War by Karen Abbott

"With the Old Breed", one of my all time favourite books!

How is The People's History of the US by Zinn?

Hi Gege. I started Dam Busters: The True Story of the Legendary Raid on the Ruhr by James Holland the other day. It's excellent so far.

Hey Gege. I am on hold at the library for Twilight of Empire: The Tragedy at Mayerling and the End of the Habsburgs. Just finished Darkest Hour: How Churchill Brought England Back from the Brink and it was absolutely top drawer. I would highly recommend it.

I currently reading a bio of one of Islam's greatest foes in the Crusader era- Raynald de Chattilion, the Prince of Antioch, during the middle 12th century.

in the preface that author say that when AQAP tried to mail the printer bomb in 2010 the package was addressed to him.
