King, Stephen-The Gunslinger(The Dark Tower #1) -Informal Buddy Read-revisit; Starts November 3, 2014; February 27, 2017

We can always wait a week and Start Nov 3rd. This way it's the same week Tower begins, and we have a little head start.

So whenever fits you best (I thought it was a lot longer actually, so I don't think it will be a problem fitting it into my reading plan)

Because Abbie and I are on the same team, will it only be one of us who gets credited for reading a buddy read with one from another team or how does that work?

Greta is right, as ling as there is one person from another team in on the read, which it seems we will have multiple!
Ok yeah this sounds perfect for me! So glad we started this one up. I've been meaning to read this series for ever.

Oookkk. I'm going in prepared for it then.
I'm going to just order the box set from Amazon. Why not, right? lol

Wow it really was!

Abbie, yes they said in the Questions thread, that as long as there's a team member from another team on the buddy read we'll bot get points for joining it :)

Me too! Got mine from Paperback Swap and it's taking a little longer than I expected. I have 2 and 3 from there though.

I'm reading the same version I read years ago, which is unrevised and comes in at about 180 pp. That's practically a novella. I probably should break down and spend the money for the new and improved 300 pp one, but I can't imagine it needing any more than what it already has.

I am still waiting...impatiently :(

Taryn love the picture and I understand fully :)

It's all King, all the time. :)
I didn't start the book today either. And I have the next couple of days off work (where I do most of my reading), with tons of things scheduled so I suspect I won't really get reading until Thursday.
I got the newer version from the library. I don't remember the original though, it was almost 30 years ago after all.

Got the email today, but my daughter has a concert after school, so I didn't get time to get it today.
I actually never read a King novel until a couple of months ago I read The Shining. I liked it soooo much more than i thought I would.

Book synopsis:
This heroic fantasy is set in a world of ominous landscape and macabre menace that is a dark mirror of our own. A spellbinding tale of good versus evil, it features one of Stephen King's most powerful creations - The Gunslinger, a haunting figure who embodies the qualities of a lone hero through the ages, from ancient myth to frontier western legend.
