Tim | 8539 comments A rare thing from me - an actual blog post! On continuity and spinoffs...

Jim | 21809 comments I've had the same issue because the various Land of the Three Seas stories do overlap and events in one book can be foreshadowed or referred back to in others.
I was lucky in that the history happened first before ever I wrote the first book, so the skeleton is there.
But as you say, when you actually write it, you suddenly discover the different viewpoints and angles on the story

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I love the way you can find yourself in a labyrinth - and the way you manage to get out of it. I also love Socko, by the way! I'm a sucker for sensible young men. :)

And the rest of you... ;)

Tim | 8539 comments That's handy - lots of Socko coming up... ;)

One of the advantages of being SP is that it's very easy to sneak little extra details into a revision if you find that continuity needs a helping hand (i.e. if you rely on something that someone said/did/saw in an earlier book, you better make sure that they actually said/did/saw it). Although I think that's probably the literary equivalent of the Kobayashi Maru.

Tim | 8539 comments I was nominated by Andy Barrett -- the real life Socko -- to join the WIP blog tour, and so I've scribbled some stuff about what's coming... :)
