Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

I was trying to merge Neil Gaimen to get rid of it (it was a misspelling brought in by Amazon, but couldn't do it because Neil Gaiman is a GR author. I did know if one of the super librarians could help. Please?

Dori, I got rid of the Neil Gaiman who had no books and is not the GR author.

Authors merged.

Someone who can read German will most likely find books to combine.

Just so you know, you don't have to be a super librarian to fix this. Fix the name on each book individually, then you can change the name on the empty author profile to any name, as long as it's not a GR author. It won't matter because you aren't changing any book information.

But superlibrarians may have an easier way to do it. :-)

Tried to merge N. M. Kerby with N.M. Kerby but unsuccessful due to Kerby being a Goodreads author. How does one get around that?

It's Kelby. But I got it.
