Hannah | 18 comments Hello,

I'm not very familiar with the series functionality on this website, but it appears that all editions of Julius Caesar (unabridged) are filed under the series "SparkNotes 1 Hour Shakespeare."

This is clearly wrong; Julius Caesar is not part of the SparkNotes 1 Hour Shakespeare series, which is a collection of short study guides. (See here for the actual Sparknotes 1 Hour Julius Caesar study guide: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/491196.Julius_Caesar?ac=1&from_search=true.)

Can this be fixed so that Shakespeare's work isn't listed as one of SparkNotes's study guides?

It seems that the SparkNotes study guide has been added as a "version" of Julius Caesar, which it isn't. Arguably, this misgrouping is the root of the problem.

I'm not familiar with modifying series or separating erroneously grouped editions, so I figured I'd turn here rather than risk messing it up.

Thanks,
Hannah

Some of the SparkNotes publications include the full text of the play, and would therefore be correctly combined with other editions of the play.

Regardless, that would not meet our definition of a series.

Hannah | 18 comments @rivka The SparkNotes publication in question here is a study guide, not a publication that includes the entire text of Julius Caesar. “No Fear Shakespeare” is the SparkNotes product you’re thinking of, I think.

Thanks for clearing up that it shouldn’t be a series, regardless! Should someone just delete the series then? Because I think that would resolve the problem I’m describing—the problem of all editions of this play being listed as Julius Caesar.

(Separating the SparkNotes work from actual editions of the play would obviously be a separate issue/step.)
