I did a switcheroo with Dragonfly to help us get more letters

Jenny, check the ss and see what I did. We can claim up to 5 letters if we are not claiming a word. We can prob fill in more slots with the books already placed..

I haven't really chosen optimal books to complete the taglines this time around apart from the one for WANT so I'll try to slot mine around the completed letters where I can.

we can claim up to 5 letters. people on the sheet can add their books to more slots. you'll get more points!!

Looks like this is more of a tally sort of game, so just try and fit your books into the three tag lines with up to five letters per the rules.

You can use the first letter of any word in the title, and first letter of the author's name.

You can use groups of words you find in the title, as long as there are at least two letter together for part of the word.

You can mix up those two processes. At least that's how I see it.

So, Claire, even though we claimed some of the letters for the word WANT in I WANT TO BELIEVE, you can still also claim those. It's not like we have to fill up Board 1 before we move to Board 2, etc.

So when I finish Drawn and Buttered by Shari Randall I'm going to claim:

ERE from there (buttEREd), and AN from want (rANdall) - five letters from one book

Just try and look at where we stand in the letters we are colleting to see which ones we need the most from the review thread.

Maybe it's just me, but typing it out like this seems to help me figure out what I'm doing :)

Finally started my first book of the month, I had an exam on the 2nd and didn't want to look at any more words yesterday :D

I finished and I'm not sure where to put it.

Also finished two novellas and, if I post them together to reach 200 pages, then I can use one for the letter R, right? The book is .

Yeah but, what about the letters that are taken? In the SS, I mean.

It's okay - Felicia is tallying it after each book we post. So the SS is more of a planning guide.

Hey guys just to let yous know that from Monday to Friday im gonna be offline because im going on holiday but I will obviously be reading. Hoping to get and finished and start (for say her name what letters can I use that for?

If anyone wants the 'NE' of 'Trust No One' on the 2nd board feel free to take, Neverwhere was published in September and is tagged scifi so I actually only need 3 letters for that one for max bonus points!

Eek! there are other tag lines and things I should be looking at!!

From the challenge rules:

★ You can also earn +2 bonus points if your chosen book is written by someone, or who has a main character who is called 'Dana', 'Fox', 'Scully', or 'Mulder'.

★ You can also earn +2 bonus points if your chosen book was first published in 1993 (the year X-Files was first aired).

★ You can also earn +2 bonus points if your chosen book was first published in September of any year (the month X-Files was first aired).

★ You can also earn +2 bonus points if your book is tagged 'Sci-fi' within its first 20 tags.

The number of bonus points is still capped at 10 points though, no matter how you earn those points. You cannot claim a word or 5 letters, and also claim these bonus points.

What are we doing with books in red on the current sheet? I am starting a few books that fit those slots. Can we move those out? I don't want anyone getting mad..
