I also use Bookmooch..as well as PBS..but I never can seem to get books that I want from BM. Any tips?

Nice! Jessi..I just received a credit because you said I referred you! I didn't even know that was possible! Thanks!! :)

I'm glad you posted about this site, because with my two free credits I was able to get two books I needed for my book challenge! Also, someone had one of the books I posted on their wish list, so I will be sending that out soon :)
Fabulous! Hopefully the next person who is thinking about checking it out from this thread will click on YOUR profile..and then we will have a chain of referrals! haha free credits for all!

That would be awesome!
Have you ever bought credits on there? I see that they are $3.45 each, which is actually not bad at all. You can't find many books that cheap even on amazon or at used bookstores.

I have bought credits from them..many times actually lol. I always get a book I REALLY want when I don't have credits..and I'm not about to pass it up if I've waited so long! lol

It actually works out really well. I usually put my best condition books that I know are popular and will go right away on Paperbackswap. That way I can stockpile some credits for when something on my HUGE wishlist is available. Then I put alot of other ones on BM because of the fact that once you put 10 books up you get a credit and alot of books get requested on there faster than would on PBS.

Also, as a note, if you're going to buy credits, don't buy them from PBS. Check out the forums to buy from other users. you can get credits anywhere from $2.70-3.00.

Oh great, thank you so much for the tip!

It is a website where you make labels that you put on the inside of your book and when you are done with them you leave that book anywhere...leave it on a bench at the park, leave it at a doctor's office, leave it at a coffee shop, etc... And if someone finds that book hopefully they go to the website and put it in the BIC code. That way you can track where your book has been. Sounds fun.

I looked under the forums, but I don't see where I would find people selling their credits. Can you point me in the right direction?

Look around the Book Bazaar forum. If you don't see a topic about someone selling some, make your own and tell people you'r buying. I just came across this one though http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/to...

Ehh. With Goodreads swap, you pay for the shipping, not them. So basically they says "It's going to cost $x.xx" and you have to send them money VIA paypal or something similar. It's kinda risky sending a person you've never met or spoken to before money to pay for shipping. I like PBS's credit service where the sender pays shipping not the receiver.
Hmm..good to know! I didn't really look that much into it. I was just soo excited about it! lol
That is the one thing I do like about PBS as well. After I read what you wrote I started looking around and I saw some feedback about in the GR Feedback group and I saw that a woman said that she got a book that said it was in "good" condition and it was really ratty. I feel like that rarely happens with PBS, at least for me. It will be interesting to see how the swapping works on here.

I just learned recently that (on Paperbackswap) if you put people on your friends list you can offer it to them first and then put it public if nobody wants it. I thought it would be nice to add other members because I'd rather give it to a group member rather than a random person and that way you are still getting a credit for a swap.
