Even though it was an easier read the Fifty Shades, it didn't take much for it to be just as bad. From the preface I thought it would be a science fiction and have aliens. I did not beleive the author when Ji went anywhere. All I was thinking it is amazing every place he goes to makes me feel like I am in China.
I am hoping a couple of things that bugged me was something being lost in translation. Adult and Big Sister. More with Adult. Normal people do not talk , "Adult,......" That goes down to more of an editing issue which someone should have realized doesn't work in English. Big Sister not so much even though it did drive me crazy.
Then near the end a unicorned wolf? WTF?! The only animals that have horns are herbivorous. Why does a wolf need a horn? To protect himself? He is an apex predator! The only blessing was there were no ridiculous or painful to read sex scenes
